When you said the price isn't right, it is relative. To you the price isn't right, and that is fine. That is probably true for a lot of people. But you don't speak for the community at large, nor do you speak for every single buyer that views that post. To many of them, this maybe the deal they have been waiting months for and just kept missing. So let the buyer and seller have their transaction in peace. And for the seller, it maybe the case where if they cannot get a certain amount for them, then it isn't even worth selling them.
You may think you are looking out for other mags, and for that, honestly, thumbs up. Good job. That is sort of the point around here. But while you maybe protecting a few maggots from saving $50, you are also costing the sellers, whom are also maggots, $50. And I would add, that most maggots on here know what would justify a good deal or not and do not need to be told or reminded about it.
If this had been a thread where the seller was ripping off the buyer, then you, myself, tons of other mags could have and likely would have come in and beat the guy down and told them to fuck off and all that usual shit.
But it just isn't. The price of $350 shipped, for spats, good condition, with bindings, shipped is more that fair. The point being....it is high for you. But it isn't unreasonable or immoral and the seller is not trying to rip anyone off.
So what is the point of coming in and telling us about how you can get these for cheaper? If you are looking for a new pair, then go and buy one of the cheaper ones that you listed already in this thread. But douching up threads does nothing for the community, gear swap, or the buyers and sellers except provide a little flame war entertainment.
And you are right. I don't post much anymore, particularly in matters like this where to only true outcome is going to be you thinking I am a dick and me thinking you are a dick, because honestly, there is so much of that shit on here that what is really the point, right?
People on here take this shit so fucking seriously like this forum is the end all of the world. Which, I guess is fine, but I honestly don't have the time or the care to invest that much into this place. It is a great forum. I have met tons of great people here. But this forum and the rules and regulations and code here, while mostly good, do not run my life. It is just a good place with some good people who love skiing, and share that with each other. For others, it is more, but I would say that most of the time, getting super super invested into these threads is pointless (which, of course is a bit funny to say here, but as you said, how often do you see me make a long post from a soapbox?)
And while you maybe singled out in this case, the issue does not lie with just you, to make that clear. I think there are a lot of people on here who should just sometimes shut the fuck up and mind their own business. But it is their life to choose, so what can I really say, right?
So that is it I guess. I can go off being an unlucky fucktard now who should shut the fuck up for trying to defend a member who is just trying to sell their skis.

But in this case, I think your posts in this thread and the DP skis thread are just rude and detrimental to TGR. You will obviously disagree, but where is the fun of a public forum with argument?
