FRY THE BASTARDS!!!
Anyone seeing a leaked list yet? CNN says Clemens is on there
Step 1: Hire some guy from congress with baseball ties to conduct survey
Step 2: Give him no legal power to compell
Step 3: Make assumptions based on hearsay and unreliable witness testimony
Step 4: Make Announcements in a dry and boring manner.
Step 5: ???
Step 6: PROFIT!
All-Stars, MVP's, and possible HOF'ers....
This is going to be interesting.
Off the top of my head, I would guess the following players will be on it:
David Ortiz
Manny Ramirez
Dave Roberts
Pedro Martinez
Curt Schilling
Bill Mueller
Trot Nixon
The Rocket was outed by his Yankee PT in the report. Confirmed & solid.
^^^^ Yep, considering Mitchell is the DIRECTOR of the Red Sox, I'm guessing the number of Yankees will far outnumber the Red Sox players named. We might get lucky to have Varitek's name thrown in there, but that's probably it.
rumor list going around from bank of america (supposedly tight with yankees)

Clemens? What a shocker......not really. Said it for years, NOBODY is 87 years old and still pitching great.
Obviously I was kidding with that list. Bill Mueller? Come on.
Ortiz and Dave Roberts are/were on the juice though.
That list is interesting though not really that impressive. What is good about is report is that the exposure of the steroid era and the destruciton of all these outrageous seasons is going to really let the career of junior shine. He was unreal and without the 'roids. However people questioned is hall of fame status because of his late career tail off- well maybe he tailed off because he was on roids.
Oh and they better name some current Red Sox- if mitchell doesn't name 1 current red sox that's going to cause real problems as he is the director of that team.
What else is going to bother me is that the public is going to trash all these guys (and should do so) while letting the entire NFL off the hook.
I hate that double message- these baseball players are cheats and should be scorned while NFL players get Nike spots after using the juice (Shawn Merriman).
If the goal of this report is to clean up sports and set a good example football needs to be cleaned up.
I got this list from someone who got it from someone who got it from someone, etc. etc. Not sure if it's the real list, but I guess we'll find out in a couple of hours. Ha ha ha at Rich Garces.
Brady Anderson, Manny Alexander, Rick Ankiel, Jeff Bagwell, Barry Bonds, Aaron Boone, Rafaeil Bettancourt, Bret Boone, Milton Bradley, David Bell, Dante Bichette, Albert Belle, Paul Byrd, Wil Cordero, Ken Caminiti, Mike Cameron, Ramon Castro, Jose and Ozzie Canseco, Roger Clemens, Paxton Crawford, Wilson Delgado, Lenny Dykstra, Johnny Damon, Carl Everett, Kyle Farnsoworth, Ryan Franklin, Troy Glaus, Rich Garces, Jason Grimsley, Troy Glaus, Juan Gonzalez, Eric Gagne, Nomar Garciaparra, Jason Giambi, Jeremy Giambi, Jose Guillen, Jay Gibbons, Juan Gonzalez, Clay Hensley, Jerry Hairston, Felix Heredia, Jr., Darren
Holmes, Wally Joyner, Darryl Kile, Matt Lawton, Raul Mondesi, Mark McGwire, Guillermo Mota, Robert Machado, Damian Moss, Abraham Nunez, Trot Nixon, Jose Offerman, Andy Pettitte, Mark Pior, Neifi Perez, Rafael Palmiero, Albert Pujols, Brian Roberts, Juan Rincon, John Rocker, Pudge Rodriguez, Sammy Sosa, Scott Schoenweiis, David Segui, Alex Sanchez, Gary Sheffield, Miguel Tejada, Julian Tavarez,Fernando Tatis, Maurice Vaughn, Jason Varitek, Ismael Valdez, Matt Williams and Kerry Wood.
Starting to sound like 1998 Festina.....
I don't know why people give their favorite players a pass, just because they don't look bulked up. If there's one thing that should come out of this, it is that nobody is free from doubt. If Junior is not on the list, it could be because he wasn't using, or it could be that his source hasn't been outed.
If that really is the list I'd be disappointed. Just doesn't seem comprehensive. I would think that there would be more starting pitchers on there considering many in MLB consider the benefits of steroids help pitchers with recovery time.
If Prior is really a roid user it would be interesting considering the comments that Jack McDowell levied towards him about him likely being on roids since he's often injured. Prior was sent packing yesterday...maybe that's not a coincidence.
I'm still in favor of a super-modified class in all sports. Anything goes, everyone's hudge!
This list doesn't even mean much. It's all hearsay and 3rd party information. And of course if a player isn't on George's little list it doesn't mean he's clean. Really, every player is suspect.
A particular take; Ya gotta think that after 2PM Bonds will be look more favorable and Selig more culpable in the court of public opinion.
No Frank Thomas I presume?
I haven't suspected him, but can see where some people might.
I KNEW it!

i think this is humorous:
Mitchell's report exposes a "serious drug culture within baseball, from top to bottom," fingers MVPs and All-Stars and calls for beefed-up testing by an outside agency to clean up the game.
The report by Mitchell will include names of 60 to 80 players linked to performance-enhancing substances and plenty more information that exposes "deep problems" afflicting the sport, one of two sources with knowledge of the findings told the AP. Both sources said the report would not address amphetamines.
Why? Just because there will be more than just him discovered to have been doing roids? I think the opposite. After 2PM he'll have sealed his fate lying for so long. Peace out home run records. Back to Roger Marris's 61 and Hank Aaron's 755. The again, what if Barry wasn't on the list? lol
the more people doing drugs doesn't mean a person who does drugs is less of a cheat.
Bonds will like he always has- a cheating douchebag. (Thanks for the correction Odin)
All this list will do is make A-Rod a hero and make his chase for the record a pursuit people will jump on.
While I like the word Truculent.... I am not sure it applies in the guise of an adjective to "loser"
Therefore I accuse you of post doping, and request to see your word of the day calendar.
