yes it's that time of year again fellow maggots/rippers/jibsters/park monkeys/powhounds/etc.

which line challengd you the most and ripped you apart this year? in other words which line is gonna make you come back next year and wanna take it clean and rip the heck outta it?

for me: a narrow tight shot in the woods with a mandatory icefall huck of about 10' through a tight set of trees on both sides to a steep steep Straightline. killed me, couldn't master that sucka for all its worth.

uhm yeah, about that..... today eastwall, first run all year there, 2nd notch looked good to go. Down climb in with pretty good snow, ie, no rock moves, just kicking steps for the first 1 foot wide, 10 foot long 65 deg. entrance. Started to kick out a platform to put skis on, lost my footing, slide 1/2 of the whole line, broken thumb, messed up elbow, tagged some rocks. Friends freaked out, no good. Climbed back up put skis on, started skiing and booted out for no aparent reason, 3 cartwheels before I got it back. Damn, but I am not gonna wait till next year, its on for sat.

I ripped two healthy lines of blow at a party earlier this year. I'd like to come back next year and rip up all three lines at once. Then I'd be up for DAYS! F*ck I hate coming down from that sh*t.

Since you didn't specify, i have 3 lines that i got owned on last season that i would like to conquer, all bike related :D

1. 5th horseman on cypress . just when i thought the shore was getting easier, :eek: rock faces are easy when they are smooth and fairly not steep. this just wasn't fair
2. platinum. rode around pretty much everything. 20ft gappers aren't my bag of tea, yet.
3. lesbians only to wifebeater. 4 inch skinnies for a couple hundered feet, to 8 inch log with 90 degree corner to 12ft drop. followed by gappers, to gappers to corners, to more gappers, to the 911 drop :eek:

skiing wise i have been consistently owned by the baby table in the park this season :D waaaay too depressing

Drew Bledsoe and I had a hard time at Big Mountain

We had to sidestep up to avoid the cliff on East Rim

Bledsoe got freaked that he might blow a knee and jeopardize his contract

It was over my head, skiing is hard

Huevos at Mammoth. Lots of slightly hidden little volcanic rocks kept grabbing the skis and throwing me over my skis. I'm weak....I know.

Groomer to the skier's left of Chair 22 at Mammoth proved pretty costly too when I thought I could air off of a little lip on the snowboard. Took a nice cartwheeling 360 fall of my dome and nearly took out Barnballs' girlfriend. :D
I'll conquer that next season.

East coast hardpack/ rocks ripped me apart this year. Ive come to the conclusion that it is almost impossible for me to progress outside the park here.

devils fiddle, mid season snowpack (read: not much snow), the first 6 inches in what seemed like a decade, got all excited, jumped the cliff, landed in dust on crust/ rock, accellerated, tumbled through rock garden at what felt like 30mph. only broke my hand.
a group of tourist snowboarders that were stopped at about where i crashed were absolutly petrified. the look on their faces as i skied away was all-time.

This one is kicking my ARSE - I'll try it on some SPATULAS next year

Ok, this was by far the tech-iest line I ripped all year.

Stumbling home drunk last night I was only able to scope the line out slightly, as my vision was blurred and the room was dark. But I knew that this season has prepared me for what I was going to do the next morning, and in due time, that bitch would be mine. Many times I have awaken only to step on my pack, shovel. Once, I hit some blue ice/carpet that was covered in dirty boxers and careened into the opposite wall. I'll tell ya, nothing kills morning wood easier than a fall.

So this morning, april 14th, I knew I would nail this shit and do the maggot name proud. At 9am I swung my left leg over the cliff(its a solid 3.5 feet, but it felt like 50) and onto the arm of the couch, my foot propped precariously between the void beneath and the alarm clock that was threatening to slough off at any moment. It was time to commit.

Putting all the weight on my left foot, I pulled the most amazing balance act, shit, I looked like the little italian boy from the Karate kid doing the praying mantis kick. I quickly dropped onto my right foot(1.5 foot cliff) narrowly missing my helmet and salomon shoe box, then lunged forward, placing my left foot between the shoes and stomping the landing, running to the bathroom to take my morning piss.


I figured the maggots would be proud.

AL QAEDA'S LATEST TERROR THREAT: SUICIDE CAMELS
Security experts are advising Americans to be on the lookout for unattended camels.
Evil mastermind Osama bin Laden's henchmen have smuggled hundreds of suicide camels into the United States.

The animals are strong enough to carry hundreds of pounds of explosives that can be detonated by remote control -- blowing anybody within 50 feet to smithereens.

But you can save yourself and your loved ones the indignity of becoming an Al Qaeda hit by exercising common sense and keeping on the lookout for camels turning up in places where they don't belong, such as:

1. Roped to parking meters in front of federal buildings.

2. Poking around nuclear power plants.

3. Hanging around airports or trying to board a commercial jet.

4. Watching fireworks displays or crashing holiday cookouts on the Fourth of July.

5. Attending the Republican and Democratic conventions with or without a floor pass and red, white and blue hat.

"The plot is diabolical -- the threat is real," says a CIA source in Washington, D.C.

"While we've been patrolling airports and scouring the Internet looking for evidence of terrorist penetration, Al Qaeda has been smuggling in camels right under our noses.

"Our best guess now is that there are hundreds of these animals positioned near strategic targets in every state.

"And when these things blow, it's going to be big. In a coordinated effort, the devastation could be even more spectacular than 9/11.

"Just imagine the images we'd see on TV if suicide camels silenced the Republican and Democratic conventions this summer or managed to wrest control of an airplane from a flabbergasted pilot.

It's estimated that each fullgrown suicide camel can carry up to 600 pounds of explosives and contaminants -- including radioactive plutonium pilfered from nuclear power plants and canisters of nerve gas available from science and hobby shops that advertise on the Internet.

The lethal payloads can be detonated by remote control from distances of up to a mile, says the CIA source. That means terrorists who send the camels on suicide runs can be relaxing with a gay lover or sipping a cocktail in a topless joint when the critters blow.

"What's next for these fiends -- suicide puppies?" asks the CIA source. "After this, I wouldn't put anything past them. They are evil to the core."

FBI: PTA GROUP WAS SECRET TERRORIST CELL

A PTA organization in Los Angeles has been unmasked as a terrorist cell with ties to Al Qaeda, law enforcement sources confirm.

At least 82 parents and teachers affiliated with the organization in suburban L.A. -- many of them seemingly "all-American" soccer moms -- were led off in handcuffs after a lightning raid on the elementary school auditorium where the cell held its meetings.

Another dozen or so members, who were absent for the meeting, were nabbed by lawmen at their homes, while shopping or running errands.

"They seemed very surprised to find themselves under arrest," says an FBI agent. "These are ladies who drive SUVs and shop at Walmart.

"On the surface, they seemed to their neighbors like squeaky-clean June Cleaver types. But in reality, they were engaged in deadly plots against the U.S. government and against their fellow citizens."

Under provisions of the Patriot Act, none of the names of the arrestees have been released to the press. Nor can the school be publicly identified. But the husband of one detainee, identified in court documents only as Suspect 68, said he was "stunned" to learn that his wife had been picked up by federal lawmen as she left the beauty parlor.

"I thought at these PTA meetings, all they did was talk about what the hours of the school library should be and other boring stuff like that -- I had no idea they were planning bombings and assassinations," he says.

According to the Department of Homeland Security, the PTA group has been linked to a sinister underground organization called the People's Freedom Brigade. The international gang of cutthroats has been connected to a chilling laundry list of terrorist attacks -- including the Madrid railway bombings in which more than 200 people were killed.

"This is an extremely radical group that gives logistical support to many other terrorist outfits along a wide political spectrum, Al Qaeda among them," reveals a Department of Homeland Security source. "Its sole goal is the destruction of America and her allies."

Shockingly, most members of the PTA cell truly were once innocent housewives before being duped by the Brigade.

"Brigade operatives infiltrate community organizations like PTAs and Rotary clubs and slowly brainwash people," the Department source explains. "By poisoning members' minds with anti-American propaganda for months, they turn them into dangerous fanatics."

The whistleblower who first told authorities something wasn't kosher about the school's PTA is a 34-year-old mom of two who wishes to be identified only as "Jane."

Her husband "John" was one of the few males busted in the sweep.

"John had started going to PTA meetings on a regular basis, which wasn't like him at all," she recalls. "At first I suspected he was having an affair, so I showed up at the school one night when he'd claimed he was going to a meeting and peeked through the door to see if he was really there.

"When I heard the members chanting 'Death to Bush,' and saw a diagram for making an atomic bomb on the blackboard, I knew something just wasn't right."

SADDAM, OSAMA AND KIM FORM KILLER BOY BAND... TORTURE!

Missing mass murderers Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein are not directing terror attacks against the U.S while in hiding. They're busy working on a new CD along with North Korean tyrant Kim Jong Il -- in a bizarre bid to become the world's hottest new boy band!

So says veteran South Korean journalist Li Soon-Yek, who claims he watched the trio rehearse and lay down tracks in a $1.5 million state-of-the-art recording studio in the basement of Kim's palace in Pyongyang.

"Ostensibly, the purpose of the CD is to spread their gospel of anti-Western hate. Every song is laced with lyrics criticizing America," says Li, who first published the claim in Truth, an underground magazine.

"They told me they believe the best way to win over the masses of young people around the globe is through the music played in dance clubs.

"But the crazy part is, these guys really think that they'll be bigger than *NSYNC. Kim told me, '*NSYNC is overrated -- We will crush them.'"

The bloodthirsty trio's bizarre foray into pop culture was prompted in April when an Iranian music producer who sympathizes with Al Qaeda took one of Osama's many taped speeches and put a techno dance beat behind it.

Bootleg copies of the eerily hypnotic single made the rounds in clubs in Iran, Saudi Arabia and even Paris, where anti-Americanism is very chic.

When Osama learned the single was a hit, he excitedly contacted his allies.

And quickly, the group got the brainstorm of performing in public.

"Can you imagine how President Bush will squirm when we appear before huge audiences around the world, with thousands of people chanting our names?" Saddam asked Li. "His inability to stop us will make him a laughingstock."

While U.S. officials can't confirm Li's story, some find it plausible.

"These men all crave the limelight, the adulation of crowds," notes a State Department source. "Also, Saddam has been obsessed with boy bands for years -- he once invited *NSYNC to visit Iraq.

"And Kim, whose fondness for young girls is well known, obviously would be motivated to create a situation in which teenyboppers fawn over him."

To prepare for the demands of full-fledged stage shows, the leaders have actually been taking voice and dance lessons, according to Truth.

"While Saddam has a decent baritone and Osama can carry a tune, Kim sounds like a cat being strangled," Li reveals. "But the last voice coach to offer constructive criticism to Kim was arrested and executed for treason."

The group has already begun touring caves, training camps and bomb shelters.

"They want to try out their songs in smaller venues before they play to bigger audiences, just like the way the Beatles started out in small clubs in Germany before they hit it big," the source reveals.

"These guys actually think they're going to play arenas -- and who knows, maybe they will."

Naturally, with three giant egos in the room, conflict frequently arises.

"The others complain that Saddam is too bossy," Li says. "And he doesn't like the way Kim skips rehearsals, telling them he 'has a country to run.' "

Even the name of the band remains a contentious issue. Among the possibilities: Axis of Evil, W*M*D, and Glorious Singers Who Defy the USA. They seem to have settled on Torture for now.

When asked about the oddball band's chances for success, music-industry insiders are skeptical.

"Sounds like those three killers are even more delusional than we realized," says a U.S. music critic. "The best they can hope for is to go down in music history as the world's oldest and ugliest boy band."

SHABWA, Yemen -- Desperate Al Qaeda fighters have borrowed from a time-honored American tradition to raise money for their next cowardly assault on the U.S. -- by running a camel wash service!



CIA agents in the area confirm that the men running the camel wash are vicious Al Qaeda terrorists who fled from Afghanistan. But Yemeni locals are praising the fanatic fund-raisers for a job well done.

"Before Al Qaeda came around, I used to have to wash my camel with my own two hands," says Abu al-Nafeesa, a Yemeni tour guide who puts 100 miles worth of sand and grime on his dromedary each day.

"Now I can let others do the dirty work, instead of being spit on or kicked by my camel."

The camel wash is run by a team of 10 to 15 Al Qaeda, who hand-wash and towel-dry close to 50 of the animals per day.

A CIA operative who poses as a regular customer explains, "It's no secret that the 'War On Terror' has left Al Qaeda financially crippled, but what they are doing here is downright pathetic," says the agent, who spoke under condition of anonymity.

"They're out there scrubbing away like a high school cheerleading squad. They even have soap and water fights from time to time.

"Naturally, the U.S. is opposed to any activity that raises funds in the name of terrorism, so we will be shutting them down.

"We'll send all these camel-cleaners to our terrorist prison camp in Cuba. But first, we want to show the world what Osama's big bad Jihad warriors have been reduced to."

The camel-washers remain blissfully ignorant of their impending shutdown.

One cheerful employee chirps, "Bring in your beast. We'll bust our humps to get it clean."

Also, a rock in the middle of Horshoe took a huge chunk out of my bases. Had a nice little tumble and hipchecked a freaking granite quarry in the middle of the bowl--hidden by 3 inches of white stuff.

But that's not nearly as important as rasta's and Bush (edit: or the biohazard factor of CD's room)...

I will share this story though about a technical in-house line. I came down the stairs, took a right into the hall, entered my parents' bedroom, did a somersault over their bed (while they were in it) and ran towards the bathroom. I then pulled down my pants over the toilet and proceeded to take a piss. All while asleep. I don't know if this is true, but this is what my parents told me... Screw extreme ironing, I'm down for EXTREME SLEEPWALKING!
