I'm worried that the forward lockout of the duke will interfere with my natural stride and was thinking that some trekkers would be able to get me past the verticle stop on a duke.
thanks!

I run yellow linken risers so stack height doesn't bother me. I am worried about the ramp angle though.
I wouldn't ski anything under 50 degrees. You might be limited.
I was thinking of using my Trekkers with some Dukes this season, but I heard a rumor that there's going to be a Dynafit compatible Alpine Trekker with possibly a mid-season release so I might just hold off for that.
EDIT: Has anyone ever had an Alpine Trekker inadvertantly pop into walk mode when skiing downhill in them????
Just spent sometime looking into this.
Only way trekers will work with dukes are by using them switch while having dukes in tour mode. It may require that you smash your knee caps with a large maul to get a stride length longer than 3 inches.
Seems completely doable.
Now working on which direction skins should be used (one facing forward one back?) and a possible ski crampon option.
Think we can put together a group buy on mauls so we can all smash our knees?
one each way frank. skins go opposite from the trekkers mount.
I don't have twin tips. Is it possible to click in to the trekers backwards?
Wait (again). Now I'm utterly confused... Which way is in front of me?[/scratching head]
Is it possible that my skins go on reverse? Which way do you mount your skins? Switch or Fakie?

Facking Jong! Put the glue side down on the snow and then walk up the skin. Peel skin off snow and reattach one ski length higher...... repeat.
Do they eliminate rocker launch?
do they eliminate pedal bob?
do they eliminate annoying wrinkles and unsightly bulges?
I would say yes since you've effectively created a VPP setup, course it would all depend on one's femur length as well.

PEOPLE: You do NOT want MID STROKE PEDAL BOB! Nothing will drive a man to insanity faster than MID STROKE PEDAL BOB! Forfukssake!
This is why we went to the dukes in the first place, for tip release, segmented glue affixiation and generous stroke compesnation for femur displacement.
