This morning my boss came around and handed everyone in the office a $500 Christmas bonus. This was totally unexpected (for me at least) because I'm just on a student work-term type of deal. Maybe now I can put the downpayment on the swimming pool (which I wouldn't be able to do if he had given me a membership to the jelly of the month club).
Anyone else receive an early Christmas present?
Gotta love holiday bonuses! Just got $400 today with another $3000 to $5000 coming next week! :biggrin:

We got 3 days off between Christmas and Newyears to get that whole week off so we don't have to spend any vacation. I think that is pretty cool.
That's awesome. Our company is growing at 40+% a year and we dont' get shit for a Christmas bonus.

I got a nice, unexpected, year end bonus a month ago...unfortunately, I totally suck and am using it as seed money for my own company instead of doing something fun with it (like giving half of it to the govenment in income tax). I do get to go on the company trip to Jamacia this year, which does not suck.
My boss asked me to work from the 22nd thru to the 31.

I get christmas day and eve, and newyears eve and day off. Thats a big deal when you work at a mountain. But I guess four years with one company in the ski industry should be worth something right?

well, I'm a government drone, so no bonus. But since I teach a bunch of little tools all day I get to stay on a cush student schedule. 2 weeks at christmas, spring break, and 2 1/2 months in the summer. Nice work for a big kid that doesn't want to grow up.:rolleyes2
