Ufda.
As a former Wisconsinite, I can confirm.
A guy I knew through skiing was/is? a cop in Madison. I asked him what qualifies as drunk driving. Without hesitation, he said six beers.
Have a hard time believing that list when there isn't a single New Mexico location on it.
Wisconsin should just name drinking the official state pastime. It already is de facto.
being drunk at 18 and starting to walk home from Beloit.
And having a super friendly cop drive me back to IL
I love WI.
Fuck you haters.
The skiing is meh. Although if you get all the way up to MI UP it gets a little better.
PS. Fish boils for everyone!!
Had a work trip in Madison for a week this summer, was definitely impressed. On-campus microbrews and brats on the lake at the Terrace, bars every few yards in a very walkable downtown. Morgantown is no slouch in the drinking department, but I gotta tip my hat to the Badgers. Fun town.
As a current Wisconsinite, I can confirm your confirmation.
The lake chain my island is on has 11 bars with boat docks. Some have parking for 50 or so pontoon boats and employ teenage dock boys because the drunks are too hammered to tie up their boats correctly. Total fucking shitshow.

If I ever give up skiing and want to live somewhere that drinking is equally socially acceptable to the Colorado resort towns but more affordable, I will keep Wisco on my list. Probably not Michigan, been there done that and too much ICP energy. I've always gotten along with most Minnesotans but they seem like teetotalers compared to Wisconsinites. These are the thing I think about when I think that I might grow up one day.
Where the dispensary’s are lined up at the state line.

What about cheese curds
Squeaky fresh cheddar.
Fuck you VT. You have no idea.
And braaaaats. Fkna. Best snausage evar.
We're not as think as you drunk we are!
I always confuse people from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Must be the lake effect on my brain.
First state I bought alcohol in LEGALLY. Right out if high school early summer trip to float down the Apple River with friends. 10am walked in to this roadside joint that advertised cases to go. There was a totally hot chick dancing naked on top of a pool table.. Did I mention it was 10am? Took me like 15 minutes to grab a case of Special Ex and get back out to the car where the bros were waiting. Good times!
...Apple river. Went a couple times. I'm sure I wish I had some of my missing memories from those trips.
