I took a good spill onto a bunch of power tools. A couple months ago
My shoulder is getting worse. Left shoulder and I’m left handed
I got an MRI after an ER visit and Doctor visit
I’m scheduled with the Orthopedic Department the 14th of April
What is this saying?

If your insurance is decent they’ll operate, otherwise they’ll do pain management, maybe cortisone shot, and PT (it’s VA so #2)
Apparently they were impressed with your liver tolerance but decided maybe you should let it recover before hammering it again
And they think it’s just about previous booze use

The bursitis doesn’t surprise me. I was a Pitcher up until I was 13. I blew my shoulder out. Shock waves into my hand if I even threw a rock.

Your shoulder has bad arthritis. There's no simple surgery for that. Total shoulder someday, but I'd try an injection and some rehab (for shoulder and liver!) first.
It doesn't matter what the radilologist thinks abut yur shoulder, only what the ortho says.
You have significant liver disease and need t stop drinking.
I know a family where everyone became an MD or a nurse and the GP alway sez of his brother " he's just a radiologist not a real doctor "

A liitle fatty and subtle nodularity are still bad when it comes to the liver. Glad you stopped drinking. As long as your liver blood tests are ok and as long as you continue to avoid alcoohol as well as liver-toxic meds and hepatitis (have you been checked for that/) you should be OK. Obviously there was a reason your doc ordered the liver ultrasound so maybe the blood tests aren't great, oor have been off in the past.
Repeated High enzyme output Maybe I will post my latest round of blood tests. The rest of the world gets to see them why not my internet Ski buddies.
On a lighter note, I requested A full battery of VD tests. 7 Viles of blood and a piss test. I did not hear back from the Doc or Nurse = Clean?
Dr, filled my Viagra prescription.
Either the doctor or the lab should provide online access to your test results through a patient portal. Or call the docs office and have them mail you the results, at the very least.

I am just going to do daily PT until I need it replaced, most likely. The only thing it is really affecting is weightlifting over my shoulders, and chronic pain.

good Luck, I know about the chronic pain Wakes me up at night. The shot gave me relief for about two hours, and then it really hurt.
What did your guys rotator cuff injuries feel like? My right shoulder has been fucked since 2 springs ago when I dislocated/tore labrum/broke part of the socket. Never got it fixed. Did tons of PT etc. Has felt OK.
Anyway a couple good falls in the last two weeks on skis. One of them HARD onto a cat track with my arm down by my side directly onto shoulder/head. Feels like a knife going in my back above shoulder blade and below acromion. Worse at rest and when laying down. I have an appt with my shoulder guy but its almost 2 weeks from now. Fuck.

ime as a recovering kayaker the shoulder can take 2 yrs to heal and he pain will keep you up at night, I had a frozen shoulder and maybe 10 acupuncture visists helped get it moving
Know a guy who was on a Grand trip recently, half way down he was putting his spray skirt on one morning and his shoulder ripped out. Whirly bird ride out to hospital. Cutting followed, down for a year plus.
Damn. What's crazy is that I'm sure I damaged my shoulder in some crash the last two weeks. What really set this pain off: Buckling my fucking boots. After the second bad wreck sometime last week (deep pow, shooting photos and skiing fast and augered a ski into the deep and rag dolled) I was getting off the chair and struggling to get the hardest buckle on my boot closed. Reaching down with extended arm. POP. Like literally something broke loose. Not a "weird air in the joint pop" but like a ligament finally tearing through kinda pop. So fucking weird. After modern medicine said i was fucked and I would just have to wait until my shoulder unfroze I went to a Traditional Chinese acupuncture guy Andy soo hoo and he was good for my shoulder
he would stick about 4 or 5 in the hand, a couple in the elbow, some in the shoulder and up into the hairline maybe 20 pins in all and just let me sit there with a heat lamp for 45 minutes, eventualy he hooked me up to the Tens and shocked me
it unfroze the shoulder but I would say it quit being of any use at about 10 sessions
and the next women I dated lit up like an xmas tree after all that Tens
Try some RLT on those banged up shoulders in addition. The heat from the red light and IR will feel good.
Tore my rotator cuff a couple of years ago, had it repaired 6 months later. Pain subsided after a week or so but I couldn't lift my arm above my chest or behind my back without a bit of pain and absolutely zero strength. Could ride a bike, DH included, and do most other activities without any issues.Quote:
