Didn't search for other threads cuz holy fuck just had to post extemporaneously on this sick slick machine. I was sitting at the bar in Vegas (Dino's Tavern) two days ago and a former bartender there wheeled in on one. Recharged it over lunch. Demo'd it weaving between high top tables and stools. Told us how his 1-3 mile commutes/errands are now really fun. And going almost 20 at times is cool, he wears a helmet all the time. New one has a 12-18 mile range, dang! https://onewheel.com/products/onewheel-plus $1600 or so...Sort of tempting though.

All over the place on Maui. Looks like a blast and a great commute option if you live in the city core.

See a bunch around here. I think they are made here (Santa Cruz). They look fun, but unless it is your commute rig, kind of pricey. Fun to ride tho.

What makes these any less prone to exploding than the two wheeled version?

the commute on my bike is generally one of the best parts of my day. A friend coined them Segways for bros when we first saw one.

Can confirm!

Currently awaiting delivery of the new XR model. I have fucked myself up by trying to push it past its limit but it was my own stupid fault. If you are over 200lbs and like to ride in cold climates the added range of the new XR will be a game changer. On my OW+ I have swapped out the smaller slick kart tire for a larger treaded one. Greater carving performance as well as traction off road. I fly with mine and had a blast in Vegas on the strip.

^^^ not a beer drinker but I do appreciate the fine cup of water from the tap that I had at your pad and the fantastic meal you hosted at BBI. Not sure I said anything about what is and is not cool. My bikes have been hanging on my wall since getting my onewheel and I do not miss them at all.
