Game on! Most of the standard Baker interweb ski-dorks were around (never saw Grrrr or Fiddler or DINMS) and we had a nice influx of Seattle-types to round out the crew. WC and I started out by two runs down the chute under chair 1 (the second gave me some negative GNAR points with a binding-to-butt on a landing) then we ventured out to Pan to milk some of that. Amazingly we were able to ski right up to mid-1 w/o waiting in line at all the first time, but when we returned after Pan the line was to the bottom of the ramp. Fuk dat, time to hit Elbow! Got a few runs from the top of 4.5 then used the nice track that MBS and BB pushed out to Elf to hit upper Elbow and then eventually Elf. Some nice deep snow was to be found all over the place; landings were cherry, hucks were hucked. WC stepped up to the plate and hit a nice 15-20 footer with speed, so now he can no longer say he goes bigger on his bike than he does on his skis. It was still a bit bony in places but whatever...
Unfortunately some of the Seattle crew didn't have their gear and had to stay inbounds w/ the rest of the peons. Tsk tsk.
Solid bro-down in the Tap Room at the end of the day and then a nice continuation at Casa in B'ham (with some fuzz drama for me on the drive home...for tailgating? WTF?) :fuckyou: before they had to hit the road south.
No pics from me, but it was by far the best day of the season so far.
