The Denver to Brighton rally (who's in?)

Here's my situation...there's lots of snow in Utah. I happen to like snow. It looks like Monday will be slow at work. I got the OK to bail if I want.

Here's what I'd like to happen if possible:

Drive to UT Friday night after work (leave at 5 pm prolly arrive around 12:00 - 1:00 am). Crash with some cool SLC Utards.

Wake up, meet GT and crew and head to Brighton. At Brighton we will ski and jump off things. I'd prolly head back to Brigham to hang with the fam that night.

Wake up and ski Brighton and jump off things on Sunday. Hang with fam.

Monday wake up and ski Brighton then hit the road back to Denver right after skiing.

I know lots of nice places to build hits and little cliffs just outside of Brighton that could be fun to session as well. Maybe a day of that could be thrown in and replace a day on the lifts? Conditions and crowd dependant.

Who's in? Would this plan work for any other CO kids?

If I don't get any takers I guess I'll just stick around here, dress like an idiot, and get all hopped up on goof balls. I guess either plan is cool, but that much pow is hard to pass up.

psst, hey over here. I dropped the story on the misses and she told me to go skiing, no worries, halloween not that important. Not sure if she is laying a trap or if she really wants me to go to utah. I'll update you tomorrow. You sir are the devil :the_finge

Boys, boys boys...I must tell you of an impending weather event about to hit the Wasatch. Pretty much, Friday is going to be a rockin' pow day, and it's looking like free refills all weekend long...that said, bring your stuff to ski in serious weather, vis may be funky all weekend long...more details as the new data comes in...

I can fit myself plus 2 others and gear in my car. It looks like we might have enough people interested by Friday that 2 cars will be needed. :D Convoy baby!!

i dont get off work till 10pm friday, and i have to be back at 5 on monday...

I don't think you'll be able to ride with us. Our plan is to go to Brighton Friday, then to Vegas, then to the Red Bull Rampage on Sunday. Sorry about that.

Not sure about hev's return trip.

HOWEVER, there is always the possibility that if it snows more on Sat and Sat night, we may drive from Vegas back to Salt Lake and ski on Sunday, which would mean we could give you a ride back. But that isn't definite.

What is the terrain like that Brighton is opening up? I tried looking at trail map on their web page but couldn't really tell what it has to offer. Looks like it is just that middle part of the area with the four lifts. The snow will be sick for sure, but I'm just wondering if the terrain is worthy of the 14hr round trip?

I'll be making a rally to Utah this weekend as well...

...however I'm going to the desert instead. It's a lot harder to get good ski days than it is to get good climbing days in, so I'm going to start kicking my own ass for this one.

Hey Baron, any insight for the weather in the Moab area for this weekend? Could be a perfect excuse if it's crappy.

Friday and Saturday look OK in Moab; it'll be a bit chilly, only like 55 for a high, but there will be some sun. We were just down there last weekend, the early mornings are brisk, but the days are nice. Sunday looks crappy with a pretty wet storm moving into that area - hope that helps, PM if you need more specific info...
