Phantom's new Crystal Ship Will be arriving this Fall W/ a higher flex and longer height- for those of you who felt the old Phantom's were a bit too Midget-esque.
we took ALL of your feedback from this past season and made a ski unstoppable in your heavy powder/ tree conditions.
and no- it was not made for racing-(unless w/ patrollers for us easterners)
Also, be on the lookout for a video featuring our ski testers out at Mt. Hood,

that's ballsy. it looks like the landing is far from soft 3% powder.
Phantom Skis
I had the pleasure of skiing on the Phantom skis in the 160cm length at Mt. Hood in July. They were a fun ski! I actually aimed at large gloppy slush piles and smoothly went right through them with ease. I also found the Phantoms to be very easy to turn. They did feel a bit short for me (5'10", 175#) in the 160cm length. I would really like to try these and the new Crystal Ship in the trees on a powder day.
Yea the new (western) version is going to be 180 in length- Should be great when the powder hits.
our ski tester advised us to expand the middle as well, i havent even seen this yet.. should be a pretty be interesting season

I've been told they are identical dimensions to the Elan SCX, just pushed out everywhere. If so, no thanks. I like to go straight sometimes.

Wrong, the SCX had only 51mm difference between the tip and waist. These fukers have 80mm difference. Damn, the phantoms probably have a turn radius of 1.2 meters and anything above 10mph you would fuk up.Quote:
