Stop fucking traversing across the run-outs of every fucking chute/line/etc. You're not going to get more then two turns out of it, you're ruining the run-out, you're going to get hit by someone coming out, seriously, WTF??? FALL-LINE fucktards,

After trying to be nice and explain how a) disrespectful, b) dangerous and c) won't win you any favors with patrol and being told "I've been skiing for forty years and know what I am doing, Fuck off!" I will now buzz the shit out of every traverser I see at the bottom of the ridges. Maybe I'll buy a paintball gun, sit in the rocks on Comptons or above the Diagonals and go to town.

You are the most despicable type of skier I know. You are the bad attitude ruining the vibe on the playground. You are so blinded by how rad you perceive yourself to be that you can't possibly see the bigger picture. You are skiing at a ski resort, yet complain when someone else skis your line, doesn't do it the cool way, or lacks the skills and knowledge that only someone blessed enough to ski everyday could have. If you yourself were really so much more enlightened, you would just laugh knowingly at what you see below you and drop off the other side of the proverbial ridge into a perfect line, meeting your friends waiting below. But instead you buzz by the person wanting to know more about the mountains, who, until your outburst of aggressive profanity was probably having a great time. You are no better than that novice, in fact you are much worse. Perhaps you should hang up the sticks for something more fitting like being a used car salesman or meter maid, where you are offered a daily opportunity to attack the needy with your malicious, pathetic personality.

Almost as bad as the traversers, are the side slippers. If you don't think you can ski the line, don't skid sideways down it.

Never understood why people started such high in Fuez bowl. There is more to ski by following fall line rather than starting to traverse across the whole bowl. On a heavy snow day don't want to get caught too low but people turn really high. no wax?

It was quite well written and makes very valid points. I enjoyed reading it and it made me laugh. We all have irrational, inane rants concerning things that bother us. This is one of mine, I stand behind what I wrote and I hope alto stand behind his. I have no problem with that!

Yeah, I have that same attitude about disrespectful, know nothing idiots with blinders on that belong on a groomer traversing in big, steep, blind terrain.

I'm doing my best to look out for them, but believe me, they see nothing beyond their own nose.

Again, I'm talking about 1: Idiots who can't put two turns together, in 2: Big, steep, gnarly terrain, 3: in blindspots slipping backwards towards the gnar they can't ski, so they can 3: make two low angle turns they could have gotten to in a different way but are too lazy.

Fuckem' Fuckem', and Fuckem. Same people who ski the sidecountry without the slightest clue and put everyone in danger there as well.

Oh yeah, I'm a big bad elitist now because I don't get as rad in the backcountry as certain people too.

Ok you have a bit of a point if people don't know any better, but as Gripen wrote patrol has tried to control this with rope lines with no traverse sign which are not being followed.

Oh yeah, I should leave on a sick powder day because the 800 people that bought a beacon just to ride this new lift can traverse in 5 places across all the good lines that used to be "beyond the boundary rope".

I saw it, and I read it. And he had some good points. But I also undersatand what Gripen is campaigning against. And I agree with him.

I agree about chilling out, one traverse is not a big deal, but how about places like Mammoth under Dave's, Face of Five, Wipe Out/Drop Out Chutes, Dragon's Back where there are literally thousands of traverses? When that shit hardens up it rattles your teeth out when you try to ski the fall line. Wouldn't one traverse track work? It seems to at Alta/Bird.

Have you sent this no traverse memo to the good folks at Alta/'bird?
