I saw The Dark Knight last night and have mixed feelings about it.
It truly is as good as all of the critics say it is. Every actor is bringing their A+ game to the table, and Ledger's Joker is truly oscar worthy.
The downside is that the movie is really dark. It's a comic book played absolutely straight. For an adult, that makes for an awesome movie. For a kid, not so much. An R rating wouldn't be a stretch.
Michael Bay takes a lot of heat for "Big Boom, No Substance." But in this case, I think The Dark Night could be more "Big Boom, Less Substance."
Another site had a good quote, "Iron Man was a comic book, The Dark Knight is a graphic novel."
The movie is great, but it definitely is not a family popcorn movie.
