Danno can’t ski
I was just watching Wirth's most recent video and noticed that he calls his series "Classic Flow." Pretty similar to Bjarne's company's name - Endlessflow. Obviously Alka doesn't own the rights to the Fifty, and I have some respect for Wirth releasing his videos in alignment with Alka's to get more attention. Its just pretty cringe that he is practically copying Bjarne's name. Wonder if it was intentional. At this point I wouldn't be surprised to see Wirth grow his hair out and get a tiny dog named Leo.
It's tough out there trying to get followers... this kid isn't going to take anything away from Cody's project. It's all good IMO and let's just appreciate that he loves skiing and leave it at that. My humble suggestion.
Unrelatedly, I know y'all are pros and spancered and whatnot, but am I the only parent impressed by a 6k vert tour with a 6 month old at home? When my first kid was that age, sleeping 4 hrs a night and getting no exercise, I don't think I could have walked to the couch and picked up the remote without getting out of breath. Cody is strong as an ox (but we knew that). Elyse is superhuman, and I look forward to showing this vid to my wife.
you don't give any advice once yer a grand father
you just laugh at everything you see going sideways
and think oh yeah i did that
My physician basically told me, "you'll figure it out." Best advice EVER!
One massive thing I give my kids credit for is getting ME back on skis for real; the joy of seeing them progress on the snow is unmatched and is bringing my spouse around to the notion of winter being good. My wife is barely interested in snow; I'm somewhat shocked that she followed her sister to Alaska (whereas I grew up here and was more-than-likely at Alyeska as a kid with your wife on varying weekends throughout junior high and high school).
I always swore I wouldn't marry someone who didn't ski, and yet I did, so my snow-sports were largely curtailed after we started dating. When my son was in kindergarten I said, "f-it, we're going to Hilltop!" and busted out my broken Volant Machetes. His not-yet-three-year-old sister didn't want to get left behind. Now I have two little groms who LOVE skiing!
Speaking of which, it's late and I'm being a bad dad. I'm going to have my son watch the 7 steps with me while my daughter sleeps on the couch next to us.

Keep up the epic adventures! Your latest is just a year along!
I've actually had people tell me I'm a good parent. Proof they are totally clueless.

The fact that people actually like peanut butter is proof that most parents suck at parenting.
I really liked this latest video. As a newish dad it’s cool to see the discussion and feelings about risk as a new parent.
Plus the “ we have an hour to get home
To get the kid to bed” really hits home and is so relatable, haha. Those without kids will never understand….

I see you've met her!
Same here. I'll always love skiing but having my daughter get into it has kept me going the last ten or so years. I definitely have a lot of take it or leave it moments these days. I don't have a lot of money so skiing often adds a level of stress that I'm not always a fan of but seeing her enjoy it makes it worth it.
That being said I probably won't be skiing here in Flagstaff much anymore once she's done with HS. If I do keep skiing it's going to be somewhere like Taos for 5 or 6 weeks duding the winter. Or that's my plan for now at least. I could very easily head to the desert and warmer regions all winter as well though.
I don't even think he knows Cody's project is a thing
