What have you bought/upgraded today.

After much procrastination, I finally pulled the card out for the Pivot Mach 4sl 100/100. Thanks to everyone for the advice.

The bathroom scale says 26lbs without pedals. It seems like something from the future compared to my old, beloved hardtail. Dual lockouts with one lever and dropper post, my left hand will have to get used to the new controls. ^outshone by that whip but I finally had time to put together my Tyaughton from the Knolly mega sale. I think it’s going to be a fun bike. Want to get a longer dropper but 170 is ok for now. purple royale dark from tropical glitz, was impossible to find actual paint code for dusty satin blue metallic from s works frame color so this looked best by eye. comes with a can of tc and one of 2k cc.
planning to really let this sealant primer set given cool temps and humidity in WA. then a sand and start with tc. plan is to wet sand between coats. then cc. fun project, lots of learning, wish i wasn't a fool with an unsteady paint can spray.

I had a Shimano ProForm code that was expiring Dec 31st, and made a last minute purchase on New Years eve.
Picked up some of the new GRX carbon wheels, a wide-range cassette, a 38cm Pro Vibe Superlight carbon curley handle bar, a Pro Vibe Superlight stem, some bar tap and a bunch of center lock discs.
I have a 11s Di2 1x11 GRX kit that needs a frame. I'm hoping to purchase a Giant Revolt Advanced Pro Frameset in XS for my wife, to build up a gravel bike for her. Giant has these frames marked down, and I should be able to get a pro price on top of the discounted price, just waiting on the XS to come into stock, expected by mid January.
I've been off bike part shopping since September (other than bike tools for Christmas), and I'm excited for a few build projects early spring.

I got back into a road bike just before things got interesting with wider tires and the whole gravel thing. Boys at the shop says all I can fit are 28s. An actual gravel bike would be nice but not in the cards right now.

I have 28’s on my old rim brake road bike, and run mid 70 psi tubeless. It makes a big difference to comfort.

Yep, I'm still on the 25s it came with but run 80psi tubeless. That's a lot better than what I remember but I'll drop the pressure a bit more when I go to 28s.

I'm stuck with 25s (although I have big 25s, that are tubeless) and been tempted by a new road bike for awhile now but think i'm still holding off. Think I'm going to update the major jake this spring because that's the one i ride the most by far. Leaning toward an orbea terra with force axs 1x. Or maybe if I get a new road bike with disc brakes and bigger tires and better aerodynamics I'll ride it more...?

I don't love Minions, especially on this bike, so I picked up a set of Ground Controls. Should be better suited for this bike, plus they're gumwalls which I'm a big fan of. Wanted to try some higher rise bars and move the old bars/short stem to an old bike I have kicking around in the hopes I can get it set up for my sister to ride.

The Onset is hideous but the Haste isn't terrible looking. But, Superboost, GTFO.

Kinematics on those are fucked up.

It's the start of making this build full XC after being more downcountry the last two years.

Have to acknowledge these stats. Damn good work, keep it up! I’d prolly upgrade the gravel bike too. More pleasant riding experience than strictly pavement with cars.

And new gravel bike is happening. Ordered a groupset last week and am playing with colors on the orbea site. Want to get the frame order in this week, eta looking like mid/late march whether it's a stock color or myO so probably do custom paint since pricing is the same.

Thinking it's between "galactic rainbow," blue carbon view, or maybe raw carbon with mint accents.

I'm a big fan of clear coats over carbon... every bike I've seen with a paint job that has looked awesome. The clear oxblood Nomad 5 and clear blue Megatower 2 looked amazing in person.

Nice lookin bike, I like the rainbow or the blue carbon.
