They had 4 open today and were training in 1-3. Patrol said you'd need to do some billy goating to get into the gully. Looking up at it from the hike back trail it looks super fun once you're in it.

Different degrees of pucker. Didn't Ferris talk about Cameron's ability to produce diamonds from his nether regions?
pucker for a surburban tool is way different than pucker for a bro.
1” on Snowmass report @ 5am.
3-4” in my yard @ 7 and snowing hard.
See you at the VX. All black on Bent Chetlers.
Depending on coverage, there's a mandatory air/straightline into #4 from a secondary entrance a little further down the skier's left ridge than the usual entrance. It's probably an air right now.....straightline when it gets filled in. Coming in hot to what will surely be a steep bump field now, doesn't sound like much fun.
Sleeper pow day at Beaver Creek. It snowed probably 6 inches on the upper mounatin between the 5 am report and 9 am. Grouse skied really well until early afternoon.
Tomorrow am Beaver Creek and Vail will report 23 hour old snow and the masses will sit hours in traffic to find out that it was all skied off today.

Most of the Gullies have pretty obvious entries from the top or at least a little ways down. If you take those, you'll be good, then you can poke around into other sketchier stuff once you get familiar (and when we get more snow). 3 is probably the trickiest to get into, 2.5 and 5 can also be a little tricky. The old way of doing it where you hiked to the road definitely gave you the advantage of scoping your lines between laps. Not having that now will make it tough for people new to the terrain to figure out a lot of the lines. Should be interesting.
Nippley night camping. Forecast is no degrees. Chicken in the oven is heating things up. Mr. Burns hand wringing excellllent.

Outlook doesn't look too good in the long term with factors favouring more snow in the East. Fairly similar to the medium term outlook actually. Looks pretty lacking in decent snowfall.
In terms of skiing this season has been pretty much a total bust in the San Juans. I'm more worried about how terrible the boating season is going to be.

I don't think there could be a better visual representation of this season. Time to pull the snow tires.
EpicPass adding Telluride days for next year, not a ton, but I'm sure some people will be damn happy about it!

In any other season, I'd be more enthusiast about this sneaky NW flow coming our way.
Maybe we can catch a break! Bring it ULLR
I blew out my edge today on my Volkls and fucked up my ski. I am in a rush to get new skis because I have a trip coming up next week. Does anyone have experience with the K2 marksman ?
Local shop has them for $479 which seems like a good deal and they are pretty much the exact underfoot I am looking for. Anybody ride them?
