Yeah, we started watching Back to the Future with the 9 year old 2 nights ago, and they had a message that the movies would disappear on 12/31. So we made sure to blaze through all 3. Kiddo loved them.
Season 3 of Cobra Kai is live. It’s a ton of fun but it’s beyond ridiculous. We’re talking Star Wars or Marvel level suspension of disbelief here.
The new George Clooney movie (Midnight Sky) is pretty bad. There's an ok-ish movie buried in there, but they'd need to hire a new writer and cut out a whole bunch of really dumb scenes.
It's just another terrible made for tv movie that would normally air on Lifetime or whatever, but Netflix suckered me into watching it by attaching an a-list star. This keeps happening. I should have learned my lesson by now.
^^^^
Yeah I watched it too. Barely able to sit through it.

Watched The Dig last night with Mrs. PB: very good historical drama, wonderfully poignant British, not silly British.
Just finished Schitt's Creek, including the wrap-up show. That was great.
What's next?
This Country is even better

Lupin is entertaining fluff. Obviously, you have to suspend disbelief to watch, but every now and then, they make a mistake so big that it makes it hard to suspend disbelief. But still entertaining.
Watched the first two episodes of, The Ripper, really well done doc about a serial killer in Yorkshire, late ‘70’s.

Torrents or maybe BBC America
The 12th Man. Gripping WW2 story with a little avy and x-c action.
Since I'm always late to the party, this has probably been discussed here. Mosul was intense (a gummy probably wasn't required but...). Graphic, well acted, based on true events. I read the New Yorker article but didn't realize that until they said it at the end. Yea zero retention reading. Anyway, highly recommended.
Most of the family and I finally saw My Octopus Teacher. Awesome!
Just started "Elite". So far, excellent
Watched the Pianist last night during the piano performance at the end i almost applauded, highly recommended
That will be interesting. we live in ATL and the wife worked for ATT at the time - we were in the ATT Olympic Village (literally 20 yards from where the bomb went off) util about 1:30 am that night, to memory the bomb went off about 2 AM.
the 96 rock "free bird" billboards were hysterical.
Just watched Synchronic this weekend with the excellent as always Anthony Mackie. Fun little thriller if you don't take the premise too seriously. ie don't pick it apart all nerd-style. Just go with it, and you might have a good time. I enjoyed it.

^^^ I liked it. My wife kept saying, “Yeah, but why...” and I just went with the flow.
