San Juan currently getting peppered. Pressure ridge just moved through with some impressive thunder snow.
Temps have dropped quite a bit in the last five hours...
Looks like this system is going to work out well for the southern mountains. :yourock:
the front hit the valley about a half hour ago. Temps went from 42 to 33 in 30 min, pretty impressive.
Its been dumping most of the day in Tride. Maybe 6-8 in town. Heavy big snowflakes.
Snowing since about 9am in Steamboat, just an inch or two overnight, but about 6" in town right now, more on the mountain.
Hmmm... I wonder what the call is within 2 hour drive for tomorrow?
I'm thinking I'm coming down with a cold for Monday. Basin anyone?
Finally dumping in Aspen!
Looking good in sandstone.
Yep...the storm has been a little slower than expected, which allowed the heaviest snow along the front to stay north of I-70 (Flattops, Steamboat) for a longer time. Looks like 6" at Steamboat in town, so a foot up top seems likely. The heavier snow is now over the western Elks and scooting through Vail, and this snow should continue off-and-on, heavy at times, through Saturday AM. The good news is that a good bit of moisture has fallen in the western San Juans, with good snow at Telluride. Hopefully the heavy nature of the snow will provide a good base for the season...if we can hang on to the colder weather.
The Sunday storm still looks on track...with the best chance of snow in the San Juans and foothills east of the divide. Some central & northern mountain areas could do OK...but it will be spotty and not consistent.
I'm in West Palm Beach, FL for my cousin's wedding. I'm pissed that I'm missing the snow in CO. I'm not too sure about the 12-24" forecast for Monarch posted previously (think that's overdone by 6-12"), but I know there is a 100% chance of FAKE snow here in West Palm tomorrow night!

jet enhanced banded precip over the I-70 corridor. We'll see how long it hangs on. Looking snowy down here starting tomorrow night.
think it is winding down. Seems to have picked up speed as it finally started pushing east. Snowed for about an hour or two here in Vail and we picked up 2".....flurries now.
A slow start to things in the central mountains but it'll come around...we're not quite halfway thru November yet.
3" at the office in about 2 hours....
Not sure what happened here(El Jebel). I went to bed with nothing on the ground and now there is 3-4" on the ground and it is snowing pretty good right now. We were not supposed to get anything over night.
Probably 4 overnight in tride and 12 in town. I heard there was 20 up high at 3pm yesterday. Stuck at work but hope to make turns tomorrow after work
deeppo
Heading up Snowmass in a few..... I'll report later, but almost 10" in the village.
snowed most of the morning in Vail....I'd say 4" total in town. Sunny out now.
