I have no Tahoe stoke but was in AK last week and miraculously scored 5 days straight of sunny heli time in the Chugach...over 40 runs, stable snow and tons of fun. If you haven't been, try and make it happen...when it lines up, its magical.
Now back to tons of kids sports/birthdays so who knows when I'll make turns again. Still have plans for Memorial Day in Mammoth but we'll see.

Skied mini hall yesterday. First half was pretty frozen at 2, crux was even more frozen, concave and about a ski length wide. Bottom half and apron skied great.
Skiing down to frog lake not so great.
The skiers right couloir doesn't go. From the bottom it looked like the middle one had a few big rocks, not sure how wife it was.
And the road to frog lake is open.
And i fell skinning up a steep, frozen pitch. Damn, was hard to stop, going head first on my belly. Nose and forearms pretty bloody.

Damn dude, that sounds scary. Never liked skiing hard and steep. I still have nightmares about one traverse I did.
Lily Lake is at the bottom of all the halls. I don't know where Frog lake is unless you're talking about the Frog Lake Huts, etc.Quote:
