I'm in Palm Springs. Surfed crappy Lowers today. I miss playing in powder snow. I miss dead tree bowl. Especially when it looks fun.
Good day, indeed. Three cars in the parking lot and plenty of wind buff. By 1:30 it was warm as hell though. A nice gift at the end of a dismal winter. Rose BC skied good this season despite the circumstances. Had a handful of very fun days... If this is the last one, then I'm pretty happy.

SB. Lots of action on the Mtn. Will be interesting to see how temps affect snow quality. It was A+ today.
How much did Sugar bowl get Collin?
Nothing exciting from me at squaw today, but some people were getting after it. Lines were pretty long with several lift issues throughout the day.

Lots of this today...

Good snow lines too and palisades opened at 2
Lots of action at the bowl today, 2 ft+ and the north facing stayed good all day. Got pretty tracked but id suspect there are a few areas that didnt get touched. Thinking about heading to relay tomorrow to stay high and avoid the transformation. I havn't been up there since december though, anyone know if you can still sled in from the meadow?
Round top shoulder was good. Winnemucca was better. Eback was best.
Will still be good early tomoro
what happened to shasta? or was it more about what happened here?
Thanks KP! Bronco chutes conditions report coming this afternoon. PD, my friends guiding up on Shasta this week said it was waste deep at 9000 on Tuesday! Sounded like too much of a slog in and out with way to much wind loading to attempt to get up high. I think the little refresher next week could be the best shot at skiing the lone beauty in pow
Has anyone checked out Alpine? Are they letting people hike or not?
Pd - I got flaked on again by kids mom so had to stay local. Fortunately staying local has worked out. Eback skied even better today. Snow settled out to pow on a sponge making for much faster travel up and down. Saw yer special delivery rig parked next to mine this am so hopefully u guys ventured out there

A few laps on hourglass/tamarack bowl from yesterday. Some crust underneath on a few turns but the wind buff felt great
Yes, you can hike@alpine
^^^ Note: I'm fairly certain that Alpine has been officially closed to uphill travel on snow (before, during, and after the operating season) since the November 2012 pre-season avalanche death.
That's "officially." Doesn't mean they'll enforce it.
