Twice now my front wheel has started getting a bit loose over the course of multiple rides, probably 400 miles between both instances. Thru axle, carbon fork (Kona Libre if that matters). Is this just something to check occasionally? Anything to do to make sure it doesn't happen? Never had it happen with my MTB, but it has a different type of axle.
Maybe just give it an extra unga dunga next time you tighten it. Unless you're using a long wrench you won't go overboard.Quote:

I’d buy DT Swiss GR 1600: 24mm, 350 hubs, easy to service freehubs in both HG or XD and easily upgraded to Micro or XDR in the future, quality brand name spokes and nipples, great customer service, but I’m not sure if a $760 set is considered best bang to you.
Yes to the specs. HG. XD just means I need a new 11 speed xd cassette or is it more complicated? My front is a QR fork, but thought I could just add an adapter sleeve or updated cups to get to 100x9
I just missed out on a set of lightly used Dt240s laced to velocity rims that I was considering . I don't really ride this bike that much though...

We did a S27O shakedown cruise this weekend in anticipation for a week long tour in mid-August. Mrs P is all for “bike touring” but doesn’t want to go “bike packing”. 🤪

We were happy to have a lean-to at the campground since the ground was spongy everywhere you went. Trailers were getting bogged down and several campsites had evidence of spinning tires leaving mud stripes in the lawn.
It was a nice evening to sit on the shoreline.
