80 was an Easter weekend shit-show tonight. Big surprise. Enough snow on the side of the road over Donner Pass that I'm pretty sure it will be worth it, though. Especially with most of the upper mountain at Squaw closed today.

I am working in Bridgeport tomorrow and from home in South Lake Tahoe Tuesday. Considering the ramifications of calling in sick Wednesday.
6 inches at Donner Lake (snow that is).
Squaw was really good today, especially if you were willing to hike (reverse traverse, mainline, etc.). More bottomless turns than dust on crust by far.

Snow got down as low as Colfax just now and it looks like CHP/Caltrans is going to, or already has, hold traffic for a bit while they get 80 from Big Bend to Truckee cleaned up.
This shit would've been nice three months ago...
Drinking this on the East Coast right now. Seems like every time I leave Tahoe it snows. In all seriousness I moved to Tahoe the end of December 2012. I think people need to start paying me to go on vacation or at least subsidize me via renting my house and watching my dog. Attachment 166002

Thanks for the offer Court. He is getting old and needs to stay at my house while we are gone. Per the person we are paying to house sit now he hasn't eaten that much since we left on Saturday. Plus he has been known to tear up door frames in the past.
