Makes sense. I've used Voile straps on my ghetto rig and although they've worked fine, they are far from being the weakest part of that setup, so it's tough to evaluate whether or not they'd work consistently on something more refined.
Also, the actual usage of my sled ski rack is a fraction of what I'd like to be. 100 cycles of loading/unloading per year is so far from my reality it's pretty laughable, but I can see how a system that gets used frequently could benefit from tougher construction.
Thanks again for posting photos of your setup. I bought blocks and aluminum with the intention of building a copy the last time you shared your rig (3yrs ago?). Talk about procrastination. Now I'm motivated again to get it done.
