Yep, did not expect to see the Yanks so soon but here we are.

This is cool, great job Manfred. That HR of CC might even keep him out of the hall, and Keyshawn sure deserves better:

Ballgame!
Great win by Beiber and the Guardos over the Bombers.
Not too confident for the next few months though since our #2 starter just extended his IR stay and our #3 just went on the 15 day this afternoon.
Was a good game! It'd be nice to come out on top but that's baseball!
Turned the Sox game on late, figured I'd catch the last couple innings. It was over. Game time: 2:06. Seems a little too speedy maybe.
That’s been the one complaint I’ve heard in week 2.
It’s not too fast in my opinion, all they did was cut out dead time with no action, and commercials. In my experience so far this year you better have your ass in your seat when the pitcher toes the rubber or you could miss a half inning just like that.
The days of being able to surf the web, make a sandwich, tend to the kids all while watching a game are gone. Miss a minute, miss a lot.
Yeah but I liked the old baseball just fine most of the time exactly because of that. Most of the time I don't watch games closely, I just have it on while I do all that other stuff and focus on the game when something's happening. This is different than that.
fwiw
Tonight's game was 2:30, I thought it was perfect to do some shit around the house while listening, run back to the tv when there was action. I will not miss 4 hour Yankee/Sox games and hope they don't figure out a way to drag them out again.
Those were the worst I agree.
Listening to the Giants vs Dodgers tonight and found out they are only playing in SF twice this season. Fuk MLB and this stupid reorg
Bally/Diamond Sports has until Thursday to make payments to teams it holds the broadcast rights to, including the Guardians, Twins and Diamondbacks.
What happens on Thursday when they don't is anyone's guess. MLB has said they will try to keep the on-air talent in place for each team, but that may be hard since they are employees of Bally, not MLB, which means for many of these teams if MLB picks up their broadcasts you may be getting some schmo in a tv booth in New York calling your team's game, and no on-field reporting, pre-game or post-game interviews/coverage.
That's neat. Nice work everyone.
Bally can just fuck right off for all I’m concerned and can take ATT Sportnets with it.
I laughed because it’s true
I thought this was pretty good:

I give this about a 1% chance of happening, but it would be cool if it did. Put them in the AL and I’d support them until they play the Dodgers in the 2035 WS.
Yesterday sucked. Trot out a rookie pitcher against the Yanks and 11-2 is an expected result.
Today sucked cause two stupid plays by one guy cost the Guardos the game and the series.
Watching Boone cry they got an earlier play right was good though. I love seeing managers get tossed.
That was a weird play, the umps got together to overturn an out call when there was no challenge. I can't really recall seeing that. Hicks sure sucks though.
Go phils! Not. They blow right now...little leaguers run the bases better than these dudes.
Starting a thread on the SLC MLB bullshit as not to cunt this one up right as season is getting going.
Was a nice night to watch the lukewarm Jays put a stop to the Rays wild win streak.

Great shots and history stopped!
Thanks. Probably the least original photo opp but sure looks great on a nice day.
So much potential just some continued problems with a couple of our starting pitchers. (Although Berrios was sure looking better last night)

Bellinger gets a standing o in return to LA, and gets a clock violation.
Not saying it is right or wrong until I really get a grasp of this whole clock situation. But it is still bullshit.
Yeah. There has to be some level of flexibility for moments like that.
Was Cory Kluber supposed to be good? Every time I turn the game on he’s giving up seven runs
Helloooo….Boston….pitching is important. Love, Theo
Speaking of flexibility,
Today the Guardo’s Jose Ramirez was at the plate with his bat on his shoulder while the Detroit pitcher he was facing was walking around the perimeter of the mound. Only when he climbed that mound and toed the rubber did the ump call a strike on Jose.
WHAT THE FUCK? The pitcher wasn’t on the mound yet Jose was in the box but he got a strike the second the pitcher hit the rubber just cause a clock bit 8 seconds!?!? Yeah, no. Fix that MLB.
Fwiw. Josey hit a HR in the AB.
gwynn made 50% more money than boggs despite being worse at baseball.
The Las Vegas A's.
I guess they can be closer to the Raiders now if anything.
Part of it is that anyone who is an actual Oakland fan has been gentrified out of the area by a bunch of tech bros who don’t really care about Oakland sports.
The game I saw in Oakland last summer had probably the fewest fans, but they were all die-hard. Feel bad for the tens of them left in the area.
It’s good for baseball, though to get that team somewhere fresh.
