Great picture of your bro and I am in for a mug exchange for one of my wife’s muffins.
Picture yesterday from the Headwaters glade. This starts the East Bowl that is 1,000’ vertical of a glade network the map only begins to show.

cat, I’d love to have you show me around for a day at the new Black. Let’s make that happen.
You can’t just start talking about your wife’s muffins without posting pics.
Fuck. You have it made in Jackson, killer glades and the absolute best restaurant I have EVER eaten at. Celebrated my last two anniversaries there. Jackson is worth the drive just to hit THE alone, now I see killer tree skiing.

@cat
Was just reading the dog policy on BM website, says not allowed on downhill trails. I assume that includes the glades on days when lifts aren't spinning?
Just checked website and that’s a new policy. Unfortunately some folks working for the mountain don’t have the best pr skills so could be a hassle. On the other hand if you go early and keep to the glades, they won’t know you are there
BTW Italy just shut er down fir skiing

GBA did work on Rumford Whitecap on the East side, I think a new glade. Put in a new glade down the back of black on MLT land. We have put in 3 new glades on Black and made improvements to a half dozen others.
You can do an end to end, but supposed to have a ticket to be on Black Mountain of Maine property. There’s a parking lot on East Andover road to access the MLT parcel. Easiest just to go to granite backcountry site for details. I don’t think this years work has been added in. I am not part of gba so not good on their specifics
Jack straw, gba blasts all their information so nothing secret there
Oh Cat, you Mainer's let the granite staters in!? You're doomed.
They cut for free so yeah, but not part of their scene
august 27th to october 28th....

Crap:nonono2:
I was always able to find replacements, but they always popped again. I guess smashing kmart bumps with them wasn't what they were designed for.

Green Mtn Nat. Forest. Only getting better higher.
^^^Looking good.
Not a flake of snow here around Montpelier. It all went south.
Beavers build their glades so fine, no snow needed at Black Mountain of Maine
Funny watching gba pretending on our glades.

For anyone in SoVT thinking of heading out, at 2,300' at Bromley there is 4" of wet dense snow.
Turns were made. Some of them even felt like skiing!

which one of those guys is benny?
ETA: i’m obviously jealous
MSS is spinning the lifts today for passholders only. I wonder if DanMelon is up there zooming the groomer.... general opening tomorrow.
nice!
no franken-set-up for me but i do have a spanking brand new pair of mercuries that felt *so* light when they arrived i feared i'd only purchased a single boot:fmicon:
the beast14s i bought two seasons back (only to learn my factors were not compatible) have finally been unboxed.
as for fit, i scored 42 bike rides on my heavy GT this longest of off-seasons and am raring for some uphill travel like never before.
the obvious bonus in the red map NE will be a winter of in-state dumpage on par with 17/18 when plattekill was more often than not in the big storm bullseye...but at this point, winter will have me with skis- on-snow, having last skied patches nearly 6mos ago.
like VT-free says : LEMONADE.
i didn’t check the report! looks like monteregie is alert level 4 so i’m good for climbing this weekend. sweet?
Wah Wah...

Hailing from the dirty jerz, I feel obligated to answer. A sandwich of cold cuts that follows the general guideline below:

Shit, we're really gonna have to drop the hammer soon. Fucking Jersey Joeys and the Canuckistanian Creepers have not relented on their invasion.
6" of snow on the ground and you idiots are arguing over sandwich names, boating and rock climbing. GTFO. It's going to be a long and bumpy road, but we're going to reclaim the ECRC by President's Day Weekend. You heard it here first.
posting for first time in months...when *did* alpinezone buy TGR?
ps: nice pic eug
