Anybody have details on how this new Backland Pro will stack up? Wife has been skiing the 23.5 Backland / Backland W with a stiff tongue and a bunch of other mods -- fits her better than anything else on the market by far.

(haven't seen these debated on here,) so who needs a ski coach anyway?

When you think you're getting rad but then check your ski boot app and it says you're a beater...
Just when you think a crop of game changers from every company couldn't change the game any more!!!! Oh wait, all the same shit with retreaded graphics and minimal design updates.
Very glad I left the ski industry.
Carry on.
Everything to the right is retail...to the left is: rental fleet???? Those are just terrible!
That would be great; you check your app and:
Congrats, your analysis is:

Not a rumor but I present one of the most unTGR skis. 12m radius, 129 waist, 1330g, and still has camber.

Yeah, weird. Fwiw, I think they look better here for some reason. I actually like the inverse color scheme for their all mountain front side skis though. They should have kept it fading all the way to black at the tails of the big mountain skis like the other ones do with fading to white. Keep it consistent. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...138b5d82d5.jpg
agreed, those on the left are pretty dope.
left side = birdie -> graphics for the ladies.
edit: forget what I said. left side is front side skis as mentioned. The ones that fade out in the tails are the birdies.

Yeah!!!!
I bet they look a little better with bindings mounted since that will break up those long continuous lines. One thing I will say, however, is I'm a big fan now of white skis, especially for touring but also at the resort. So much less snow sticking. I have these and the difference has been noticeable...

BD won an ISPO award for some pack named "JetForce PRO BT " but I have yet to find a photo of it.
So I can bluetooth to my airbag pack. Fuck that. So 2011. Get back to me when I can talk to my pack and have it order me a pizza.
Go-go gadget pack!

It is battery run and uses AA (two I believe) batteries to recharge in the field. After three minutes the bag deflates. You can purchase "Booster" add-ons to increase capacity. The Boosters will all retail for the same price. Pretty sweet looking bag!
I think there were a few different versions of the Tahoe. The ones I have are a smidge under 2000 grams. So not light by touring standards, but not tankers either. Mine have a decent amount of camber overall, but definitely have the triple camber dip in the middle.
Capacitor pack (batteries charge the capacitor which runs the fan that inflates the bag). There are only two on the market right now, the Scott (announced last SIA) and the BD 24 (released this fall).
This pack sounds like exactly what I need with the adaptable capacity. Something that works for a light day tour, a guiding/rescue pack, or a multiday depending on what "booster" is attached. If done right, it will be cheaper/easier than having 3 packs that you swap the airbag system between. If done wrong, it will carry awkward and be heavy.
This tech is smaller, lighter, and *should* be cheaper than large lithium battery powered fan packs like the older JetForces and the Arcteryx. Basically it is weight competitive with carbon tanked compressed air airbag systems while not requiring a tank swap or refill... can be reused in the field, and can have timed deflation.
kinda just looks like an evolution of this: https://www.blackdiamondequipment.co...81324_cfg.html
fuck me...wrong thread posted in.
BD is leasing the tech from Scott. Note though that the Scott E1 30 pack was built pretty minimalist to accentuate the lighter system (light suspension, no separate tool compartment, etc) and the 30L was including space taken up by the system. 2.7kg is light though! BD's E1 equipped Tour 26 is about the same weight but has even less room but gets an avi tool pocket.
I want to replace my 3.3kg BCA Float 42 with a capacitor pack for teaching/demo purposes, but I am gonna wait for the right one. Couldn't make the show this year.
I expect BCA will be introducing their advanced Float 2.0 system to more packs which means a smaller lighter canister due to a more efficient venturi system. (ETA they have now put Float 2.0 in their whole product line)
