after 3 years using brakeless MTNs with no stomp-pads or spacers i finally managed to mount a new pair with the ATK universal spacer. I ended up trimming a portion of the plastic baseplate but i'm very satisfied with the whole result. skiing-wise i can really feel the difference.
I know this is not related, but how the hell do I create a thread in tech talk?

Does the sole of your boot touch the spacer when you're in the pins? When I measured the to the top of the brakes it was right around 15mm, and I believe the lowest the spacer goes is 15mm. Curious if there is constant touching or only when the ski is flexed.Quote:

I've had success with green Vibratite. Squirt some around the pin on which the risers rotate and let it cure. The risers will be extremely hard to move after that, but if you cycle them a few dozen times they loosen up enough to move but stay tight enough so they're not flopping around.Quote:

Anybody know the screw length for the toe / heel pieces when using Binding Freedom inserts with these?

If you were using QK you could order the exact right fastener from their website, specific to the binding model. It looks like BF is more of a DIY, and they give you the specs, then you go find the fastener elsewhere on their website: https://www.bindingfreedom.com/salomon/

Bump. Just picked up some armada branded mtns with the long track. Looking to run brakeless, skimoco does not have the brakeless bases, anyone holding? Or what are my options?

I've got a brakeless base plate on a pair that I blew up in my accident two seasons ago. I wouldn't trust the binding itself, but the base plates should be good to go. I'd send them your way for the cost of shipping once I pull them off the skis if you're interested.Quote:

Didn’t find it in the search. My MTN had a riser issue and it’s not just the floppy pins. The square plate the risers are connected to is loose and can move around, the rest of the tower is solid. If I take the binding off is there a screw through the bottom or something that holds the riser plate on?
