Your obvious inability to ski moguls is nothing to be ashamed of. Some of the better EC skiers (not me, of course) might be willing to give you a lesson were you schedule a trip to Killington in January. It might get a bad rap from time to time but Killington goes have some SICK terrain and a few bump lessons would almost certainly help make you a more complete snowslider.

You'd ski the creek bottom? 12.6% end to end. Ahhh, I guess ya dont even know what a canyon looks like so I'll elaborate....the west side canyons run up into the Tetons and go back about six miles. The typical canyon slope is 3000 feet and varies from 20% to vertical as the glaciers cut a lot of sheer cliffs in the 100 to 400 foot range. The glaciers carved the walls and, generally, it's way steeper stuff than eastern mountains. So, basically take two Tuckerman's and strech them back for six miles with numerous side canyons. Just sayin, there's more badass stuff in the typical Teton backyard than the whole of New England. Sorry, but that's the way it is AND if you eastern guys didn't get so hyper-defensive and self-delusional about this accident of geology, this wouldn't be any fun.

The truth is that I'm glad you have this attitude. Please do keep up the good work. Everyone should go east, ski the steeper mountains, and destroy their knee's in the bumps. It's a great service you do to lure people away from the West. It's too crowded here anyway and our mountains are flat and covered with man made ice.

I beg to differ. The seeded bumps at Sundown (my home mountain - I make the trek from Vermont each weekend) are THE BOMB. It amazes me that so many fools from CT head to Vermont each weekend when some of the raddest skiing in the East is right in their backyard:nonono2:
