Absolutely amazing skiing, Alto. Way to step up and kill it. :yourock:
Holy shit...Alto on the Praxis!? Talk about shredding a reverse camber/sidecut skis when the conditions didn't totally dictate....
No offense towards JeffJim in the following statement, but conditions did definitely dictate. It was like 4 inches on top of 5 inches, compact and soft but not deep.... freaking prime! conditions for the skis. Even of it were harder snow, I still would go with those skis. The key seems to me to be not whether or not the snow is hard or soft, but weather the snow is bumpy or smooth. N Baldy, venue for the final day... almost always smooth. Most places experienced skiers seek out - smooth. Anyway... woot.
guess you found a nice solution to your broken spats...
Alto-No offense taken. I just plan on taking out mine more often now, that's all. Still...my HOLY SHIT comment stands. Amazing skiing!
Very cool to hear your point of view alto...I totally remember thinking, man that guy is smart for waiting for the clouds to pass by. I left at 3 pm with Tri-Ungulate to ski thinking the comp was going to be cancelled but was pleasantly surprised to see if still on and that we got to catch your gnarly run. Its cool to hear your perspective.
can I get a "sick as fooouuuuuuck" ?
well done ladies and gentlemen.
I just had the best two days of my season: monday and today after the comp. Not because it was the best snow of the year but because I'm still so fired up from watching the insanity. Everything seems so small and slow after that....
totally fucking sick. That you guys can ski at that level day after day amazes me.
Hunter.
Few more vids, not sure if it is a repeat.

alto would you say that without the praxis you wouldn't have won the contest?
it is the skier, not the ski, no?
