Let's see he tried to redefine campaign finance only to have Bush, who said he would veto the bill, sign it into law and then not enforce it. Bush seems to like not enforcing the law. He didn't support the war in Iraq and considering the problems we're having now I'd say he had a valid reason. Even though he didn't support the war he still supports the troops by voting for the funding support. He called for benchmarks that would lead to the removal of troops. Isn't that what the Whitehouse is talking about now? He agrees with the Congressional Research Service, a nonpartisan arm of Congress, which questions Bush's legal authority regarding the warrantless domestic spying on American Citizens and wants to hold Bush accountable for his actions. Considering he's a member of Congress I understand why he would agree with them. These must be a few of the reasons he's a wacko.Quote:

Iraqi's have had three different elections trying to establish a government over the past 18 months. There is still a ton of work to do and many different factions to be appeased. it takes time. US deaths have been trending down in the past couple of months and the Iraqi police and armed forces become more independent every day. there will be setbacks, quite a few I'm sure. but given the chance Iraq will figure it out.
