Had a quick day out fishing for humpies(pink salmon for those of you that are a bit more cultured) It's pretty much a meat fishery for my wife and I but after 45 minutes limits I think I'll break the bug rod out for the next few days.http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/68a12b5b..._182310757.mp4
Edit: Looks like videos are still being a bit funky. I'll get some pictures tomorrow.

The humpies are just crazy thick in the sound right now. Just bought a few pink flies and am going to try to catch some from the kayak on the salt this weekend. Will report back.

It's been a salmon meat fest in the San Juan Islands this last week with a mix of fishing, smoking and canning. Easy limits with buzz bombs, flies and some trolling. The other day I managed to catch Chinook, coho, sockeye and pink salmon in the same day which was pretty damn neat!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...79ec0f0a11.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...78ff0ce42e.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9a71c3285d.jpg

I knew a guy who would go up to Alaska every year to fish for food. He'd catch salmon and halibut, and ship it all down to Missoula, enough to last through the year. He said that including all expenses (airfare, lodging, boat rental food, etc.) it was more cost effective than buying it in the store, with the added bonus of going fishing for a couple weeks.
We didn’t stop getting em while the board was down. Got some decent fish over Pioneer Day weekend (It’s a Utah thing).

Got home from vacation and hit our usual today, kept alive the 25+ year streak of never being skunked there.

I don’t usually keep em, but we had an eater on board. Brought a few home.
