Holy shit, that got an audible laugh out of me.

AB is truly unhinged. A swipe at [checks feed] white people, Travis Kelce, Gisele, T Swizzle, and ESPN. All in 6 words.

The man might be savant of some sort.

I don't think you're wrong. In my opinion, this would have been a fantastic time to go out. Super Bowl champ, billionaire ladyfriend, wildly popular podcast and marketing potential, under Aaron Rodgers' skin for hocking vaccines, and could go into the HoF with you brother at the same time 5 years from now.

they must think they can get a mid-first who can develop into the guy but i don't get cutting bait on pickett before you get that guy. they are handing the reigns to russ before he even takes a snap. just like the fkn broncos did.

I think they were positive Pickett wasn't the guy. Mason Rudolph started in the playoffs when Pickett was healthy.

This. Pickett pouted last year and then supposedly threw a fit when they traded for Russ. A QB has to lead a locker room and I think they were fairly clear it wasn't him.

This is a kicking to the curb move I think cause he was pissed then and pissed when they brought in Russ.

My guess is that the Bears are asking for way too much for a guy that might (but might not) be your answer at QB, and is only going to be inexpensive for next year; if he turns out to be the guy he's going to cost a lot more in 2025 (and a team could quickly find itself in a Daniel Jones situation, deciding whether to pay a guy when you don't really know if he's good). If you need a QB and he comes for a 5th rounder, easy call. But if they want a first or second, that's a much harder call.

Completely. It’s essentially a prove-it deal / trade. If he hits - team signs 5th year option. The trade price has slipped past top draft rounds according to pundits in the Seattle area who were working the story for our interest. And the top potential targets, say: Hawks, Colts, Eagles have made other choices in the last 2 days.
Bears seem to be fumbling this one badly compared to how teams view him, was my point.
