Ya… I’d like it now.
lol.
I mean right now.
I am in love with mine. But two is better than one.
Some times "better is best".
And sometimes "less is more".
But a simple fact of the universe is that more is ALWAYS more.
Love more

"The tip and tail shapes are revised from semi-circle to snub-nosed, both as an aesthetic choice in keeping with the rest of the lineup and to support increased performance in soft snow."
I've always thought this was just an aesthetic decision, what's the logic behind snubnose increasing performance?
Good Q! two reasons, ranked by importance IMO:
(1) you get a bit of a cutting edge vs the semi circle for wind skin and zipper crust
(2) there is slightly more surface area at the end with the shape as-is, that helps balances out the slightly narrower width at the wide point due to increased taper.
This is subtle stuff of course, and the aesthetic piece is the first thing mentioned in the email for a reason!
Has anyone skied both the HB122 and the Rossi Black Ops 118? I assume the 180cm HB122 floats better than the 186cm BO118 but is less powerful in chop + doesn't carve as well, but would appreciate any real-world comparisons.
Anyone in here looking to offload their one-eighty nine V one’s at the end of the season in preparation for getting a set of V twos’s? Looking to buy a used set, as my student budget doesn’t allow me to buy new skis right now. In no rush to land a pair, but figured I’d put it out here in case anyone is wanting to offload their set either now or once the season is over.

Got a browser window that's been sitting open for the HB 122 v2. Would love to demo a pair sometime this season. Bird pass holder.Currently riding the full reckoner series (102, 112, 122). Any comparisons?
Rode the Reckoner 112 as a daily and loved it up until I got on the Rdimes. Sorry K2 I’m out
^same. Can’t speak about the HB, but reck112 is for sale after skiing the fr110

so what you're saying is I should hold off buying the reckoner KF until I demo the FRs as well. got it.
The reckoner is a tick towards park vs the fr110. It’s lighter and tips are softer for butters, so it’s more playful in that sense. If those are important to you, maybe the reckoner is the better ski for you. Fr is looser, faster, turns on dime, better in chop, and still very very playful on kickers and being slashy, so just a different type of playful

Day 11 on the hb122s
Surfy, pivoty, and extremely well suspended
Not great in chunder but not terrifying either - thank God I haven't skied much chop at all, so I don't have much to form an opinion on
Did great in heavier/sun-affected snow
Really easy to shut down and throw aroundhttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9ec0629d3a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...bceb629a19.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a4dc4938f4.jpg

Nice!!
OG hellbents were absolutely money in chop. I have no doubt that the HLs are the same. Stay centered and the soft tip does all the work for you.
TGapp, how big are you and you got the 189?
Nice!
maybe I missed this in the thread already but what size pivot brakes are you guys fitting over the 122mm. Do I go 130 or 115?
