Recently bought a new Barryvox to replace a Tracker2 that I know I used for too long. Overall, I'm super impressed with it - easy to use, great range, way more features. Just want to know who thought criss-crossing the straps on the harness was a good design? I know I'm not the only one out there who doesn't like their love handles pinched and chaffed for hours at a time. If there is some benefit I'm not seeing, it must be outweighed by the fact that it leads users like me to ditch the harness and carry it in a pocket.

Never looked back, but most of my touring partners are still stuck in their manufacturer recommended ways. The way I see it, being a few inches further from my torso is more than made up for by the comfort, convenience, and separation from potential interference in jacket pockets / pack.Quote:

While I still have great confidence in the Pieps guts, I’m sort of done on the switch shenanigans. Just received the new harness bandaids a week or so ago and they are uninspiring.
I’ve got two & I’m heavily tempted to switch to Barryvox for next year.
I like my Barryvox and I’m still using Pieps Pro as secondary unit. Also trying T4
