If it snows a little bit a few days in a row, that can add to much more fun than drought.

Grouse opening was ok...thin but ok. Snow was heavy and lots of facets but skied pretty fun. Vail Pass tomorrow so we'll see how that goes. Merry Christmas Eagle County peeps.
Merry Christmas folks. We'll all make turns and drink beers together at some point.
Do not know if it was a maggot who gave me a ride yesterday from minturn to vail, but have a feeling it was.
Thank you
the wife and I toured around Vail Pass today. So nice to stretch the legs and get away from the crowds. As for the snow conditions....3 feet of facets top to bottom on anything north to west facing. South and East facing stuff has a nasty crust with facets underneath but not as deep. Around trees, even as high as 11k, that face E or S there is zero snow. The backcountry is ridiculous, I couldn't even isolate a column on the aspect we were on, just total top to bottom unconsolidated facets. If we ever get any snow, it's gonna be very scary. Merry Christmas folks!
Joker and Rustler were skiing pretty well at Breck today, just gotta work for it. Not many people doing the hike this morning. Sure wish it would snow.
I LOVE ICE!!! IT IS SO MUCH FUN!! AAAAHHHHH!!!:mad::mad::mad:
Headed over to Summit today. Thinking I should maybe throw my bike in the back of the truck? Grand County conditions are not much better...
Damn, that would be cool if the stone would allow bikes on the lift in the winter (especially this winter). Maybe just on one trail.
I've been considering getting the bike out lately. The local trails are super packed out from hikers so it would be pretty fun. Trail running has been my sport of choice lately though, sad to admit that but it's kinda fun.
50 today and lotsa sun.....beautiful day outside. The wind returns tomorrow with little to no snow with it. Gonna be a long week.
I booked a trip to Summit County for the last week of Jan and I'm starting to get a little nervous.
Anyone know what Eiseman conditions are like? Trying to figure out how much booze I should bring....
PM Bean as he was up at Eisman pretty recently. It hasn't snowed since he was there so I'd plan on bringing lots of booze.
The resort got DRILLED by that wind yesterday. Trees down everywhere and anything that wasn't groomed is boilerplate. We're headed with two other couples and 3 infants (fun sounding I know) to one of the Shrine huts on the 16th...hope it snows by then.
Anybody interested in getting into luge? Conditions are perfect.
F#$%*#&$%^#K!!!
Ullr, why have you foresaken us?!
My party doubled our booze rations and were still having to slow down the last day to keep from running out by sundown, and that was two weeks ago. Conditions there are horrible.

saw a pick by GoldenBear of total grass and dirt in the back @ Vail. We know this week is warm and dry and the little storm for the weekend looks small and east of the divide. Next week:
A RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL
BUILD OVER THE REGION EARLY NEXT WEEK WITH A RETURN TO SEASONABLY
WARM AND DRY CONDITIONS.
No end in sight.....maybe it'll just warm up like crazy and we can get on with an early spring.
Any body want to come to moab with me tomorrow- thursday?
Can/where do I skin up at Copper? We will be up this weekend but since it is not going to snow 3 feet this is what I'm reduced to.
Thanks.
WHAT THA FUUUUUUUCK! 4 day weekend to end/begin the new year. Instead of skiing, I rode my bike in eagle, drank far too much in breck, rock climbed in golden. I did ski new years day at breck for a few hours. I was hungover and give myself a D for effort, but nonetheless, conditions are horrible. It was better a month ago. It was better on Halloween of last year. Supposed to be 45 the next few days until it warms up to 50 on Thursday...beautiful weather if you're not a skier!
I've got trips planned to Silverton (mlk day) and tahoe (president day). I should cancel both and just buy the ibis mojo sl-r now.
