Yeah, got woke up for the second night in a row to the sound of loud torrential rain pelting the roof. No idea what time last night as the clock was blinking. My whimpering lab then kept us awake, she no like thunder.
Looks like a break for a few hours, gonna go rail some moist dirt :D
I told the kids that it snowed in Tahoe last night. They were stoked.
friends in KB called yesterday to share the news of the first dusting of the season....
looks a chance of rain for the next few nights....
add some cold temps and bring it on....
Mammoth?!?!?! This is the TAHOE thread!
:)
I drove over Carson Pass this morning around 10 a.m. on the way back to SF from Vets compound and there was snow on The Sisters, Round Top, and the peaks that are kind of South/East of Luther Pass, basically anything above 10,000 ish feet it seemed.
Not really enough to warrant skiing, but not a bad start to the winter base.
enuff to refresh the patches....?!

i was very happy to wake up this morning and hear the news say there was a winter weather advisory in the sierras....
Cause when it rains in Tahoe, Mammoth gets snow ;). So , we will see how your winter is. Remember it's all about the Global Warmingz . Still, good reports are coming in from some friends in the mammoth area, that some good totals occured above McCoy station. Nonetheless, it will all melt when the sun comes out. I'ts still a tad to early.
mt rose got snow! probably 1-2 inches,= time to go skiing.. its finally here...
dunno how this sounds, but 3-7 inchs seems pretty cool to me
