They are about to release WB traffic at Copper onto this. Should be interesting.

It's amazing. I waited until about 12:30 to drive to ABasin today after the gym, so that the crust would at least have an inch or two on it. Driving up, even though it was snowing a little, the roads were dry all the way. I'm skiing from about 1 to 3:45, and, it really started to hammer about 2pm. I turn on the radio, and in that short period, both Vail pass, both ways, and the tunnel were closed. Wtf? Happens every time it snows. I refuse to drive to Beaver on a snowy day because of this, which is sad, because Beaver is fine on a snowy day.
Don't worry, we'll get your uhaul up and over.

Really?
Is this a surprise? Its been like 7 weeks since any real snow😜 People resorted back to fall mode. Bascially this is first snow shit show.
Once again I can't thank you all enough for the enjoyment that this thread continually brings me. It's gotten me through some dark days.
On the way to Denver in Tuesday morning, there was a ski boat eastbound, just east of the VP summit, facing westbound.
I'd love to know how many of those vehicles had real winter tires. The traction law was obviously in effect - are they ticketing?
Ha. Tires. I'm leaving the ABasin parking lot and encounter a rough tough blinged up Cherokee facing me in the single lane coming in. He attempts to move over, and becomes hopelessly stuck in the icy snowy potholes of said parking lot, spinning his rear wheels furiously, because he didn't have awd. But, he had snow tires. Who the fuck buys a Cherokee with rear wheel drive? Benny guns his lesbian Subaru around him in ice and snow, and I have all weathers approaching the end of their lives. No problemo.
I just got back from Iceland, where all rental cars MUST have winter tires by law. I got around just fine in a crappy little 2wd hatchback last week and the conditions were worse than any I've seen on I-70 in years.
Why the fuck can't Colorado enforce something like that?
