Hold on there! In a proper off-roading environment requiring considerable wheel travel, ground clearance and continued traction over obstacles in a dynamic way, a Cayenne WILL NOT hold its own over the superior off road cability of a Range Rover. That's a very silly thought!
It just so happens that MOST Range Rover drivers have absolutely no clue how to take advantage of the incredible offroad prowess of their vehicle, and seldom take them far from the tennis club or ski area parking lot.
Simply put: A Cayenne is not a "proper" offroad vehicle and shouldn't be used for that particular purpose. They don't have the dynamic wheel travel for that purpose.
Nice ones, Refried!!!
I like that red Ferrari 328 being put through its paces.
Normally, I'm not a fan of the 308 nor the 328 because I am not a fan of moustaches.
I know that requires an explanation. You see, I just can't stand the character Magnum P.I. and his stupid moustache. The only worse moustaches belong(ed) to Burt Reynolds and Saddam Hussein. Magnum P.I. drove a 308, I think. If it hadn't been for Magnum's horrible moustache, I'd like both the 308 and the 328 just fine. But nope...I can't look at either one without that awful moustache popping into my head, which is a shame, as they are both nice-looking cars. ;)
AKR you seem like a nice guy, but as usual you used 500 words when none would have sufficed. Never said the Cayenne was a off road beast, just that there are no shortage of articles of stock and modded Cayennes doing the same shit a stock Rover or Lexus LX can do. Are those two more capable off road machines underneath? Of course, but then that wasn't what we were discussing now was it?
Ok, now you can leave.
You don't like the 328, one of the most iconic cars in Ferrari's history because of Tom Sellick?
You redeemed yourself with Burt Reynolds and confused us as to your sincerity with your winky emoticon, but TOM SELLICK?
The man is a God damned saint!
Oh, great pics too Refried, keep em coming. What is that little blue Porsche? It has the headlights and windscreen of a 550 but the hood and a kind of chopped body of a 356?
Those SIR pictures bring back memories -- of a bicycle race. I rode in the 1977 road nationals there when I was 15.
Anyone need a Lava Orange 911R?
Panamera or Cayenne?
Panamera GTS (V8) is one of the best Sedans I have ever driven.
Despite what most think, Cayenne is a capable SUV. Is it a built Land Cruiser? No.
I'd take a Porsche product over anything from Tata Motors.

Shame the Diesel S isn't in the US.

I'd like to see that lava orange 911R.
For some reason I was under the impression that they all were white with or sans stripes.
White and GT Silver were the choices for most customers.
I think there are 60 paint to sample cars.
This one is my favorite.

Wow that's sharp.
Any idea what that little blue Porsche is in Refried's pic above BD? I'm guessing a 356/550 mashup possibly Outlaw class racer.
That refried pic of the dueling E Types is kickass :)
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Really loud boxcar racer. Don't drive these wearing Hokas.
Sorry if it's a repeated question but what are the classes we're seeing in these awesome pics?
Modded midgets, 356s, 308s, e-types, trans-ams... awesome stuff!
SOVREN breaks cars into groups for Vintage small bore, Large bore, Historic large, Mid, and small bore, Formula cars, Sports racers, and an exhibition class (Trans Am, Nascar) at larger events. It's vintage racing and the classes aren't as strict as they are in other series and they try to keep the cars and modifications to pre '68 with modern safety equipment, So most of the 356's run in a class together with other cars of similar displacement even though many will be outclasses by a few faster cars, everybody has a few cars they're competitive with though in the class.
When you make a 997.1 C2 epic.
