I have a pair of R12 heels w/ Freeride spacers mounted on a pair of Rossi SenderFree 110s. I find that I can pop out of the heel when it is adjusted to my normal din at 8 while doing hard carves in the resort (to dial in the setup before taking them to the backcountry). I run them with Vario.2 toes that have yet to let me down.
I increased the settings to 9 without any significant change, and will try 10 today. Obviously going up is not ideal - the idea is not to book a round trip to the ER, yet I also need to be able to trust that I stay in the bindings at mach schnell doing big arcs.
It could of course be that the upright stance heel turning that the SF110 is so fond of is not ideally suited to tech heels, at least at the usual din.
