As I understand it (I'm involved a little with an organization called Fair Vote Canada). There's a vote coming up in the house (Motion M-86) for a Citizens' Assembly on Electoral Reform. NDP, Block, Green and PPC is overwhelmingly for this. Seems to be a bit of indecision on the part of some liberal and conservative MP's. An NDP member is going to bring the motion to the floor.

If your biggest complaint against the PM is that he didn't vet that guy (which, I know you know this but it isn't his responsibility, but that of his staff..) I'd say that's pretty damn decent.
