Aston Martin continues to impress me with their projects. One-77, Vulcan, AMRB-001, and now the DB4 G.T.

And really for $600k is it so damned hard to get the seats right people? This one is halfway there, opting for the houndstooth, but with brown leather? The entire fucking car is black leather! This makes it look like a brown and red two tone interior on a molested white 335i heading for Long Island.
Yesterday in semi-shitty winter conditions I saw two Porsche 911 type on the road, one on Teton Pass, one in Jackson. Never thought of those as winter cars...
Last Saturday at the neighborhood Italian restaurant that is next to the local grocery store, they had 24 porsches of 911s, boxsters and a 918. only saw one with any car club stickers, but had to have been the local porsche club holiday deal. I live about two blocks from one of the richest neighborhoods in Houston, but I never see more than a couple of porsches at a time in that lot, that 918 was nice.Quote:

Can anyone share thoughts on the Cayenne Turbo S? I've read all the articles, but I appreciate your input. Compare to Turbo, GTS, and anything else.
To date, the only negative that I have heard (other than price) is that the Porsche rims (21") suck, and that they crack and the ride is better with 20" HRE Performance wheels

Only with a warranty based on what I've seen. Pretty sure I'd enjoy driving one, but wouldn't enjoy the maintenance.
Not too long ago, I took my 10 year old R Class M-B to the shop. I was talking to a mechanic about the G550. He told me that M-B has more problems with the G than any other vehicle. He said that sales people can't "sell" those units to anyone, but if someone wants one, then they ca't talk them out of it, either. I think that all Range Rovers are high maintenance vehicles. I can only imagine the maintenance cost of the new Bentley. My point is that high-end vehicles usually cost a lot to maintain (and insure). Porsches seem more reliable than anything really nice out there.
Glorified Toureg? I doubt that. In fact, I think that the only things that the vehicles have in common are the body and maybe the chassis. One has to be getting something for the extra $130ishK.
I have heard that the traction options of Cayenne Turbo S are off the hook and even exceeds the top Range Rover off*road. Couple that with 911-like handling and 4.2sec to 100kph, the Porsche finish and I think that you are way beyond a Toureg.
There is a $43,000 premium of the Turbo S over the Turbo. There is a $100,000 premium of Turbo S over the standard Cayenne.Quote:

Friend's gt3rs. I like the older more square back; really fun to drive. Never took it out in the snow though.
If you want an SUV with no room in the back for gear then go for it. Same with the VW model. We passed on both because of those reasons.Quote:
