Next level shit, plus deathblow.
Ouch. Prolly dunfer, crushing.

So...if PK is running...assuming the snowpack stabilizes in some miraculous way...will they open slushies? I recognize Bridger and Alpine slid to the ground, and the avalanche aspect is the steep west-facing stuff (just like all the terrain up in slushies).
Just curious if they'll do it.
When is the scheduled season closer anyway?
sooo. no bridger gully freeride i assume?
Nope, they are done. Employees, including patrol, were notified today that it is skeleton crew from here on out. I would be highly surprised if they open anything beyond what they are opening tomorrow. Honestly, it's been such a shitty and ridiculous season, they should just pack it in.
Well, there were five good weeks in there, which is better than alot of places in a shitty season. Grateful for each of the few good days I got up on. Too bad witnessing such a rare and amazing event has to be of such cost to the Bridger community. Impressive job by everyone up there.Quote:

I'm sure it's worth going up to spin laps off p.k, rip a flippers lap for me, you know it's gonna get good again.
dirtbag roll call...bit of an amatuer night but good excuse to cut loose amongst bb famdamily w/ skipatrol band tuneage...cheers to the wierd year...
Here's the season edit that also serves as the intro to the Point and Chute video contest held at Bridger. http://live.tetongravity.com/_2011-2...659/75233.html
Good times at the ol' Bridger Ski Bowl this morning...Graham emerges from the White Room.Attachment 113884
BB got the lost lifts running again for the closer? Cool!
During the big slides, did the Hidden area or Apron slide? Anybody been up there lately? Thinking of doing some hiking this weekend and want to hit Hidden if it is in decent shape.
The dog and I skied Hidden this afternoon. It's now slid out. Still lots of pockets left to release though. The Apron is still holding nice snow next to the debris. Still really fucking spicy up there, be careful. Stay under 30 and it should stay put, super soft slabby right now. This shit needs to come out of the faucet so we can just be done with it.
Went up to bridger today and saw theres been another big slide on saddle pretty recently. sorry no pic.
Guess it couldnt handle all the heat lately. Melting fast up thar, but you can drive to the upper parking
lot, so thats nice.
Was the skiing OK?
It was good in spots. A good freeze would really help up there though, deep
slush on most places.
Damn, 25" at alpine. Good to see another dump before it's all gone.
Three feet? Somebody better give a report here soon.
Looks good!
Awesome, thanks. Good to see the good old reliable post season pounding. Closing in on 40" at Alpine, deepest base of the year as well. What a great storm, I hope every flake is shredded before it warms up.
shredding did happen, good sized crowd half of b lot full yesterday afternoon

^^^^^^Glad he was okay. Be careful out there.
Those pics are pretty sweet.
Damn. 43 inches of base snow out of that storm in 36 hrs. Now that's when the winter storm warning is approptiate!
did an one see on 4/27 from 6-7am it snowed 5 inches on the alpine snotel? Is that possible? I have never seen 5 inch an hour snow, ever, anywhere.

Nice shots man, that does it some justice. Felt good to get up in some of that this last weekend. Thanks to hick and nest for the solid company.
Let me know who can shred B.B. this Sunday, could be good up there by then.
This last storm sure helped bridger out. Good turns for thanksgiving day.
Heres some stoke from last season from the northern bridgers.

Too much pow to destroy, that's all I got.
With guys like p-nizzle around, it's hard not to get pretty fired up about skiing.
Radiohead leaves us with a good one to ponder after a day like that, it just has to be about skiing, right?:

I don't want to be krippled kracked
Shoulders wrists knees and back
Ground to dust and ash
Crawling on all fours.
When you've got to feel it in your bones.
Now I can't climb the stairs
Pieces missing everywhere
Prozak painkillersss.
When you've got to feel it in your bones.
And I used to fly like Peter Pan
All the children flew when I touched their hands.
Bridger was sick today: no lines, skied powder till 4 - did not expect that the first Saturday of the season... Still plenty left for tomorrow if you didn't get up today.
