If the lifts are spinning I’ll be up there tomorrow.
Sure hope so; JA if lifts are spinning, Spokane if they aren’t.

Wow what a day. Had some stuff this morning so I got up there a little late. Saw you guys from afar but never bumped into you. I lapped Wardner till I couldn’t take the traverse anymore. Big GS turns and face shots on Morning Star lap after lap. So fun.
Mtn ended up closing half an hour early due to high winds and thunderstorms. Thunder and lightning showed up around 3:45 while sweeps were still getting wrapped up. What a crazy day!
Jackass was super fun today. Found some great turns on the hill this afternoon. Heard the thunder snow from the parking lot as I walked back to the rig.
Most excellent turnage with Kopi, TAFKALVS, SkiLyft and mrs lyft!
Yo Jimmie, how the hell did we not connect? Bummed dude!
What a sick day at Jackass proper. Headed to the Schwizz tomorrow!

I didn’t even get up to Mt Spokane till like 1:30, but slushy fun on a snowskate till last chair. Tomorrow looks like a short last day at the Kan. If it’s raining, it’ll be even shorter haha

Pretty fun spring conditions from about 10-2pm today at Jackass. Then cloud cover and temps started dropping a bit and firming things up, but still skied decent.
With Jackass extending the weekend schedule till May, looks like it’ll be the spot for few more weeks!
Hey everyone, my wife and I are driving from Golden, BC back to Truckee in just over a week and hoping to break up the drive by going for a tour on the 22nd somewhere in Idaho. Would love to check out the Sawtooths. Don't know the area or snowpack, would anyone be willing to suggest any scenic low-angle touring options?
Not looking for any secret stashes, we'll take the most touristy, trafficked and tracked tours out there.
.
try the Sun Valley Beta thread,
we're hundreds of miles north of the Sawtooths

Alright guys, who was wearing a TGR shirt (hoodie?) at Tavolata in Spokane last Friday? I was going to ask for change for a nickel, but I got shy.

49* says they'll open next weekend, but 4 days of record warm temps will exponentially increase the large bare spots at the bottom.

We haven't appreciated the changes up here in N Idaho. Here's another one. Hard to know what it will mean. Thoughts? http://www.powder.com/trending-news/...terra-acquires
The inland northwest (aka inter-mountain northwest) has been incredibly fortunate to actually have a competitive market among the ski areas. The competition has been really really good for skiers with lower prices, lots of options, and plenty of inventory/capacity. This purchase accelerates the trend of Schweitzer pulling out of the local market and into the national market as demand for services grows during this era of consolidation and shifting of risk from resorts to skiers/consumers. Even with Schweitzer increasingly positioning itself as a national destination, we are still really lucky to have Mt. Spokane, Silver, 49N, Lookout fighting it out for local $.
The Schweitzer logo still looks like a marketing fail to me with constant conflation with the Seattle Kraken logo. Nothing original about either version of the same stylized S....
