that's a good idea. I think the USGA membership does it too and that's $10 as well IIRC...
can you post 9's or only full rounds?

You can post nine, you can post an assumed score if you play 13 or more. USGA membership might be $10 but you have to join a club to have access to GHIN posting and that's typically at least $50.
"Thirteen holes must be played in order to post an 18-hole score. So what happens to the five holes you didn't play? On your scorecard, you write down the score you would likely have gotten had you played those holes."
My bro spent three days at Forest Dunes. he liked it.. I'll play in a pooled bet for fun but I'm not a gambler:
Ty Webb: Guys, don't include me in this.
Al Czervik: Come on, Ty, you're an ace. Everybody knows it.
Ty Webb: I don't play golf, for money, against people.
Al Czervik: What are you, religious or something?
Ty Webb: You might say that.
Played Genoa Lakes yesterday in Mindon...have friends in town from LA, with their 10 month old baby...the baby joined us on the course, hilarious.
Other than a quad on hole 2, played pretty well.

i've taken my 20 month old on the course a few times. not to play -- well, we sneak on right before dusk when nobody's around and play a hole down and one back. it's against the rules, but i've also asked to take him around the course a bit in a cart and redtail has been cool. didn't even charge me. enormous bald eagle landed on top of a nearby tree a coupleof days ago and that was the end of his interest in golf for the day.
i was just about to comment that jacobsen seems like a pretty cool customer most of the time and one of the commentators said "he always looks a bit ... rough... with those long shirts."
i kind of like schwartzel, too.

gutsy first playoff hole by merrick
back to #10!
It was pretty neat CBS went from live coverage of sudden death extra holes to a taped 60 minutes story. WTF.
went to redtail last night and hit a few balls for the first time in a long while. then hopped on 1 in the dark with two marked balls and kept them both in play on 1 with water on the right and heavy rough on the left. both tee shots with the 4 hybrid were in the fairway. lost 1 of the balls playing half of 7 on the way back, but kept the other one in play. felt pretty good playing by moon and a little ambient light using only 4, pw and putter. i saw something watching the northern trust that i wasn't really putting together before and it seemed to be heading in the right direction when i tried to put it into practice.
what no love for match play? i love it. i love poulter.
in other news, whatever i picked up on watching the northern trust i feel like it is something about the organization of my body frame -- angles, triangles, straight lines -- my posture has been terrible from the beginning and i can't get my hips or my fat ass out of the way. but i've hit a few balls three times now with a different intent and i'm hitting a lot more relaxed, straighter with more power. no hip hindrance, ending up forward and straight and extended. feels good. same with putting. my posture and balance has been way off. it feels like i'm on the verge of a sea change in my limited understanding of the swing. or at least my swing. have to break 100 this year.
it's club-buying season on golfwrx. Picked up a R11 5h and R9 4w, hybrid is like a 9.5/10, 4w arrives this weekend. $50 each, shipped and paypalled. Oh, and 115 lightly used Taylormade mid-compression, and a dozen cherry ProV1's for $60 (45 and 15). Fore! :D
Shot 78 today at CommonGround. An eagle and three birdies to go with two doubles and a triple.
Sincerely,
Mr. Consistent.
Love his interviews...
i actually thought tiger was spending a little more time explaining things in his recent post-round interviews than he usually does.he hasn't seemed quite as guarded.
^^ He still sounds like a computer but a little more human sounding this year for sure.
hmmmm, a ladies Masters...then they don't have to worry about women members! errrrr, just kidding...
