Scenic appeal, the mountain looks beautiful. Great for locals with snowmobiles/skins.

Yeah, it's a pretty cool place to be. At least they didn't keep going with the Pioneer location, where CO's first lift was located. That area (near CB South) gets no snow at all. The conditions stay remarkably good, too, with all the N facing terrain- even without a ton of snow. If CB faced S and E like Monarch, it would suck so bad.
Most of all, 600 acres of private land at the base of the mountain, which now makes up the town of Mt Crested Butte.
If anyone is having a lazy Sunday morning, Brittany interviewed the son of the founder of CBMR, and there is a lot of interesting stuff there: https://14erskiers.com/blog/2014/11/...utte-ski-area/
Since this is still the WEATHER discussion thread...
If money were no object, CB is probably my second choice town to move to. Possibly first, depending on mood.
Looks like it's finally time. Handful of slides on Berthoud and Cameron Passes.
Today did not suck
Thank you ullr

This storm is a dud. NOAA keeps extending this BS warning only to be bitch slapped in the face.
Not a dud here.
"We would have gotten 2-4 feet of snow from this storm if you deduct the 3.5 feet that didn't actually fall" @realdonaldtrumpweather
Wolf Creek Pass doesn't look too bad.
Dang. WC looks awesome!
It's toes deep at copper today. But soft and it's skiing well.
