I ended up hiking Torrey's and skiing the tuning fork. There was a surface freeze from a clear night so it was holding together ok but some potential to break into unfrozen under neath. Near and below treeline it was slow sticky slop by mid morning. Heard emperor was a bit slidey at the top.

Get it done early. Hopefully we get some clear cold nights to lock it up and slow the melt.

I've been loving these hot days with no afternoon storms. It's been nice to hike some tall peaks and not worry about impending tstorm doom.
