I can confirm that there is 1 inch of wet snow on bare soil at this moment.
Hit Soldier Mountain last Weekend. Was bluebird city.
My son Turner.

Brought the fish. Didn't need it. Rode it anyway.

The hill could use some more snow, no doubt about that. Still very enjoyable slopes with uncrowded high speed groomers.
The scenery on the drive out and back home ....spectacular.

Narrowly missed plowing into a large herd of elk not far out of Mountain Home and then did hit a Sage hen at 70mph. Direct hit to windshield. BOOM! Surprised it didn't shatter. Feathers everywhere.
' BigLost's son Tate, with Super bikerDog, Millie ^^^
Millie's plight is well described in Tate's wife, Debbie's gofundme request -
autoimmune hemolytic anemia is treatable, and
from everything I have seen, Millie is a companion worth the investment ;
PLEASE Help

Hey all... been a while....
Life happens and time gets away from you. How far you ask? 69 years on Sept 1.
Holy shit.
Have revived my old phone to log on. Problems with password transfer to new phone. So....
Millie doing exceptionally well, considering how sick she got, and how fast it happened.
We were able to save her. Thanks TJ!

Great pic LBL - welcome back too - fantastic Millie doing well
It's good news that you and the family are still hangin' in.
We await the return of your always interesting and unique photos and tales of Rocky mountain adventures.
You play deep in the trenches. Keep on truckin mag.
Summer is fading now. Cold and rainy here today. Snow in the high peaks reminds me that winter will soon be here. The plan now is to buy season passes this coming March for the 4 local grandchildren, along with Tate and myself. Too expensive otherwise. Meanwhile will hit a couple of hills here and there throughout the season. Come March will allow us to ride the remainder of the season and all the next.
Meanwhile we will continue to ride the bikes year round. On our 16th straight month of doing so.
