Ajax closing delivers yet again, great skiing both days over the weekend.
From the Summit County resort skier perspective: Most-over-hyped storm in the history of skiing in Colorado.
(cue helpful mag suggesting I should have gone for a tour on the front range instead)
Overhyped? We got over two feet. Pretty much what was predicted.
Beavers and Steep Gullies skied very well. I did 1 inbounds run down through North Glade -> Timber Glades -> Rock Garden and then went out the gates. Due to the approaching traffic jam, we had lots of ride options after hiking back up to the road on our first lap. :wink:Quote:

You know, I had mixed feelings yesterday about how busy it was at Winter Park. I was pissed I was standing in a line because I normally ski weekdays, but on the other hand there was no way I could be pissed because it was so fucking good. every.single.run.
I was figuring a repeat of that for sure... We briefly considered dropping in on that side, but I was betting on a 2 hour lap.Quote:
