I tried the 182 original Yeti layup. So long ago and not that many runs that I am not sure I would have much to offer. But, more generally, for springtime skiing, I like to go a bit shorter to save weight on the climb and, IMHO, when skiing corn (or shit crust that hasnt corned up yet), length doesnt seem as important to me. Yes, there is a loss in stability, but my lungs and thighs appreciate the weight savings. My current Praxis kit: I have the 180 BC in the enduro + carbon at 3 flex and the Exp in 173 cm in enduro + carbon at 4 flex. I love the BCs and use them from the start to about now. I have much less time on the Exp.s and generally use them when much the day involves having them on my back. And I have the 9Ds for inbound carving days.

I don't suppose there will be another Kusala build anytime soon? I'm kicking myself for not paying extra for the UL ones... thinking of getting UL Protests for a more touring oriented ski with about the same float in deep snow. Curious if anyone under 200lbs has gone 5 flex on protests? I like the way Kusalas cut through mank with no deflection but from what i've read stiff flex makes more sense with full reverse camber where the ski is basically already bent into a carve without a lot of force through the boots.

Anyone ever asked Keith where the core materials, bases, edges, glass sheets, carbon weave, epoxy comes from? I’m guessing we won’t be seeing any Liberation Day sales anywhere.

Just spoke with Keith about a custom slugger order with ULcore avd veneer to be mounted with some atk raiders of some sort

I asked him about tariffs and materials

He sources everything domestically except the edge stock so he pretty well positioned

Just stopping by to say the new RX on the website looks deaaaaad sexxxxy... I got a custom RX last season that looks virtually identical to the stock one now on the website, maybe that was the inspo! It skies like an absolute champ too, soo versatile and stable in all conditions!
