As someone from the city, I couldn't have named them or their location, which makes them "upstate". Other than Westchester, Rockland is the only one that could maybe -- maybe -- escape the designation, but only because it's an anomaly, being on the Jersey side of the Hudson.
I used to live in the Bronx on 236th st and people said I lived upstate. It’s all relative.
I grew up in Manhattan, those people were just giving you a hard time. But for real, anything north of Westchester is (to anyone in the city).Quote:
